Global "noise" in map history makes it less useful

Postitas adaviel kuupäeval 21. juuli 2009 – English.

I just tried the History tab on the map page for the first time. It says "zoom in to see history" OK, do that until it works. But none of the entries are anything to do with the area I'm looking at. They are all global edits such as adding Arabic and Hebrew placenames (none in my little bit of Canada), or adding hundreds of airports all over the world. OK, on page 13 or so I can see the original data imports.

It would be nice to have a filter that removed the "big" edits from the history list.

I agree that ignoring worldwide edits would be nice.

Yes i also think there should be a link (hide big changes) to view only changes that are more local (smaller areas).

Yes, this problem is agreed to be annoying. Hopefully someone, sometime, will figure out a neat way to select just the edits that contain information in the area you are viewing.

Yes, i also think that this big edits schould only displayed after extra click or much better only if an edited node is in the bbox.
