Don't be a square: JOSM wants me to only have round buildings

Geplaatst door amapanda ᚛ᚐᚋᚐᚅᚇᚐ᚜ 🏳️‍⚧️ op 16 april 2018 in het English. Laatst aangepast op 17 april 2018.

Well this is an interesting JOSM issue. Whenever I try to use the building tool to draw a building, it goes circular! (Update 17 March: This is a feature, which you can toggle, see comments below)

Bad building

This happens only on one of my machines. On another, it works fine. I suppose I should nuke my JOSM settings and start afresh.

Looks like you hit one of the hotkeys. Check the data menu

  • Set building shape to circle ALT-Z
  • Set building shape to rectangle ALT-R

I agree that this is designed to thoroughly drive mad unsuspecting users.

rorym. what tool did you use to create that gif?

Looks like you hit one of the hotkeys.

Perhaps, but the bottom left shows what keys & mouse buttons I’m pressing, and all I press is the left mouse button. 🤷‍♂️

what tool did you use to create that gif?

Peek and then key-mon to show the keyboard/mouse status on the bottom left.

@raito That fixed it! And is actually quite obvious! It’s clearly what @mmd was talking about. Thanks to you both! 🙂🙂🙂
