64920712 | over 6 years ago | Hi jptolosa87, I had a question about T-830 and T-80 from T-830 to La Unión. The Chile and global highway policies say among other things that a primary road connects two major cities together and Puerto Trumao looks quite small. Can you let me know which policy you are using to classify this road? Thanks! |
36837508 | over 6 years ago | Hi, please don't add names to things if you haven't visited that location. I am going to delete them. |
39217020 | over 6 years ago | Hi, where did you get these street names like øœ, ï and æ? Please don't add any names that aren't the official or local name, and it's best not to add names unless you have been to that location. |
39217366 | over 6 years ago | Hi, where did you get these street and railroad names from? Please don't add any names that aren't the official or local name, and it's best not to add names unless you have been to that location. |
36837593 | over 6 years ago | Hi, where did you get these street names from? It sounds like a bunch of friend's names. Please don't add any street names that aren't the official or local name, and it's best not to add names unless you have been to that location. |
64945913 | over 6 years ago | Hi, it appears you are doing some good edits, but also adding some things that don't exist. I can't find any references to Tyler's Island or Jordan's Island as real parks. If they exist, please post a link or reference. Please don't add fake things, they will get removed. |
64802211 | over 6 years ago | Thanks for mapping! When mapping multiple buildings, make sure to map each one as a separate building, and also make sure to square the corners by clicking the 's' key on your keyboard. Let me know if you have any questions! |
64365392 | over 6 years ago | Hello, just another note, these are probably better off as residential or unclassified roads. Let me know if I can help explain more. osm.wiki/Key:highway |
64365418 | over 6 years ago | Sorry, and the orange primary roads too. Those are usually for connecting major towns or the biggest urban streets. |
64365418 | over 6 years ago | Thanks for mapping! In this case I think some of these roads are classified too high, the secondary roads should probably be tertiary or unclassified. Here are a few examples for that: osm.wiki/Highway_tagging_samples/urban Also the changeset comments should describe what you are mapping, such as "adding a road" -- in this case it says creating an artwork, but I don't see any on this changeset. Let me know if you have any questions! |
60396804 | over 6 years ago | Hello, I saw all your edits adding points of interest and businesses in Nigeria, thank you! It’s really impressive. What source are you using for the data? Maybe others can help you add the information as well. And I have a suggestion too, as well as adding points, it would be helpful to add the names to the roads themselves too. If you have any questions on how to do that let me know and I can help. Thanks,
|
49997739 | over 6 years ago | Thanks for mapping! When mapping roads it's good practice to connect them to the surrounding road network so people can use them to route. Thanks! |
50449858 | over 6 years ago | Hi there, thanks for mapping! in this case tertiary is probably too big of a road for this location, it's probably best to be unclassified or even track. A good way to find out is to look at surrounding roads, and there's also the Highway Tag Africa guide I recommend taking a look at osm.wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa -- let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! |
61117191 | over 6 years ago | Hi there, thanks for mapping. Make sure to connect roads that should be connected, like here: osm.org/way/355357786#map=19/-9.25752/35.14533 thanks! Let me know if you have any questions. Andrew |
50863949 | over 6 years ago | Hi there, thanks for mapping -- when mapping roads make sure to follow the classification that is used in Africa, you can read more here. In some cases you added small roads that were tagged as tertiary, which are generally for bigger feeder roads osm.wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! |
59852985 | over 6 years ago | Hi there, thanks for mapping. Make sure not to add roads where they already exist -- you may need to zoom in to make sure it's not there already. It looks like someone fixed it for you. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! |
61010378 | over 6 years ago | Hi there, thanks for mapping. When mapping buildings or other features, the Name field is meant for the proper name of something -- such as McDonalds or North High School, not a description such as "house" -- if you don't know the name from local knowledge it's best to leave it blank. Thanks! |
62714315 | over 6 years ago | Hi, thanks for mapping! When mapping roads it's good practice to make sure they link up to the surrounding road network so people can use them for routing or directions. Let me know if you have any questions. |
62168001 | over 6 years ago | Hi there, thanks for mapping! However when mapping roads, if you don't know the name of something, just leave it blank. the Name field is for the official name like "Highway 1" or "North Street", not a description. Also, tertiary roads are local feeders, these roads look more like unclassified or residential or even track. Here is more info about highway tags in Africa osm.wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa Thanks again, hope you come back! |
