Both Woodmill and St Columba's HS are moving into the new Dunfermline Learning Campus - the sites on Woodmill Road will be vacated. We need to keep an eye on them and update as needed - I believe both have already got planning approvals for demolition.

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust is currently showing an alert on their website, and have posted to Facebook, to advise that there is a closure to the Fife Coastal Path between Elie and St Monans due to part of the path falling into the sea. This is due to recent storms, including Storm Babet. Will need to be kept an eye on to see what the new route becomes. See https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=726607319494771&set=a.649806687174835

Storm Babet (October 2023) caused significant damage to this section of the Fife Coastal Path. A roughly 200m section was washed away, where the path was running along a narrow strip of land just above the top of the beach.

This is not called Silverknowes Esplanade, at least not all of it. The signage on the western section calls it 'Cramond Foreshore' and 'Cramond Promenade'. I've not checked the eastern end, but I seem to remember OSM used to call the western end 'Cramond Esplanade' or similar, and the eastern end 'Silverknowes Esplanade' or similar. Not sure why it has changed, but the signage definitely has one name for each end, even though it is a single continuous esplanade.

Fife Coastal Path is officially closed between Dysart and East Wemyss due to damage from Storm Babet (October 2023). One to keep an eye on as there may be long term diversions needed.
