Quite remarkable color quality for a reproduction more than 100 years old.

Interesting fact - these maps were produced before the discovery of Severnaya Zemlya - which was not fully charted until the 1930s and which therefore is not included.

Your Europe & Asia maps are broken. This is the error message for one of them (HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found, reported by https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/31/1916-Asia-political-map.jpg):

File not found: /v1/AUTH_mw/wikipedia-en-local-public.31/3/31/1916-Asia-political-map.jpg

Is it asking for authorisation? It is UPLOAD.wikimedia, after all.

@alexkemp, thanks for the heads up, apparently Wikipedia changes URLs after uploads for some reason. I have corrected them all. Sorry about that!

@imagico, I scanned at 1200 dpi on a cheap Epson all-in-one scanner-printer-copier, and downsampled to 400dpi for these versions. Other than straightening the images there was no other editing–the images in the book are really sweet, I have to say!
