syp: website software to display a photos on osm maps.
English телендә arenevier30 July 2009 баҫылып сыҡты.I'm currently working on a website software where you can put images and/or descriptions of specific places. They are rendered as markers on a map. A click on the marker then displays image and/or description. This allow for example to set a mapping photo gallery where each photo is represented by a marker on osm map.
Using that software, I've set up a (private) website. On it, I put photos of places we've been with the family. This gives me one more reason to map places I visit :)

Very nice! Replacing the ugly markers with a camera symbol would greatly improve the looks I think. Good work, I'll probably use this.

Really nice project! I have written a web app (still under development: http://osm.erlkoenigkabale.eu/phpmygpx.php) to manage my GPX logs and show them on OSM maps using OpenLayers, PHP and MySQL and I'm thinking of integrating some photo features like you've already done. Maybe we can benefit from each other and share some code...
(Currently my maps dont't work properly because I use an old version of OpenLayers locally and I should instead link to the new 2.8 online lib. Fixed this in the online demo, a new release for downloads will follow.)
I'll watch the progress of your software! Always a pleasure to see people inspired by OSM.
