Hi,
What is your source for changing the name of this peak and path away from the traditional spelling?

Hi,
In OpenStreetMap, we do not deliberately enter data incorrectly for so it shows up some way on a renderer. The Block U is not a pedestrian area. Please see osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer for more information.

Hi,
Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I have undone this edit because I strongly suspect that none of these features are real, and, even if they were, OSM has a policy against excessive backyard mapping. Please see osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information for more information.

Hi,
Welcome to OpenStreetMap, and thank you for your contributions! I've noticed that you've been creating both areas and nodes for businesses and campgrounds like these. In OSM, we don't duplicate features like that. Please see osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element for more information.

Sincerely,
aweech

Hi,
Just so you know, you tagged a driveway into the parking lot as a footway. A footway is generally meant for pedestrian traffic. A way meant for cars through a parking lot should be tagged as a service road or parking aisle. Please see osm.wiki/Tag:highway%3Dservice for more information.

Hi!
I'm answering the questions in the fixme tags that you added in this edit. For the school mapping question, it's preferred to use areas to map out school grounds. So when there is an imported GNIS point that duplicates a hand-drawn area like there was here, it's best to copy the GNIS tags over to the area and delete the imported node.

As for that bitcoin spammer, enthusiasts will sometimes go around trying to add businesses that accept bitcoin even if they don't have physical storefronts so that they look better in search engine rankings. Most of the the time the best thing to do is remove the spam. Sometimes an online-only business can be tagged as an office or craft shop, so something like `office=beekeeping` or `craft=honey` for this one. But the location was wrong for this node, so I decided it wasn't worth keeping.

Thank you for your contributions!

Sincerely,
aweech

Hi,
In this edit you added some very private information for a house like where the back doors are and even where the shower is. I believe that this runs afoul of OSM's privacy guidelines, so I removed the information. Please see osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information for for information.

Also you've been putting address information on way too many features. Address information should only be on the main thing at that address. For a residence, that'd be the main building. For a school, that'd be the school grounds area. For a business, that'd be the POI node.

Hi,
We don't add addresses to sheds and other outbuildings, just for the main building at a residence.

Hi!
To answer your question and explain why this road was on the map, OSM in the United States had a huge import of Census data back in the late 00s. The data was of varying quality, and it was especially bad in rural areas like here. This way was brought in in that import (called the TIGER import). We're still working to clean everything up from it, so please feel free to delete or change anything that seems untrue, or you can flag it like you did here.

Thank you for your contributions!

Sincerely,
aweech

Hi,
Where are you seeing the signs forbidding U-Turns? I see that there are some at the on-ramps from US 1, but I don't see any between there and the start of the divided highway. Were some installed along the way this summer?

Hi,
Why did you remove the note that Halfway Rock is submerged at high tide? You didn't replace it with another tag that would model that fact.

113421012 over 3 years ago

Hi,
I actually sent an email to NHDOT a couple months ago to ask what the special regulations are here, and they said that the restrictions don't start until the highway becomes divided.

Hi,
Welcome to OpenStreetMap, and thank you for your contributions. Just so you know, when a building is shared between several tenants, the best way to represent that is to have each tenant be a node. This building is shared between the surf shop, a cafe, and a restaurant, so it is incorrect to say that the entire building is the surf shop.

Hi,
I'm confused by your changeset comment. What does AAA Arches National Park mean?

Hi,
Welcome to OpenStreetMap, and thank you for your contributions! I reviewed your edits, as you requested, and they look good for the most part. Just so you know, most roads are assumed to not be one-way and to be uncovered. I do have a question about the new roads on the south side of town (Mountain Ridge, Starr Valley, and Independence Ave). Do you know if they have houses along them, just businesses, or if they aren't really being used for anything yet?

Hi,
I see that you have been adding outdoors-focused stores around the country. I have some comments on this one. Jans is just called Jans or JANS, not "Jan's Mountain Outfitters". Also, there is no South Milton Road in Park City. This is the 1600 Park Avenue location. Also, we title-case most things in OpenStreetMap, including street names.

Hi,
I reviewed your edit as you requested. It looks good; I didn't find any issues besides a misapplied direction tag on a way (that I resolved). Thanks for helping out with this!

Hi,
When I visited Barton Corner Road a couple months ago, it was unmaintained beyond the asphalt. We tag these roads with highway=track in New Hampshire. Please see osm.wiki/New_Hampshire#8._highway.3Dtrack for more information. Also I'm not sure why you decided to delete the surface and smoothness data that I added.

Hi,
I reviewed your changeset, as you requested. I went ahead and tagged the path that you added as informal since it does not appear on the Pisgah State Park trail map. It'd be useful to also tag it with the trail_visibility tag.

Thank you for your contributions!
