everyone you will ever meet knows someting that you don’t - Bill Nye
So given that it’s Friday and a cultural holiday for many, it seems only fitting that today is share day.
So, I thought that I should take a few minutes out to share a bit about this part of our RaDs.
This day is all about bringing together everything we heard through our conversations. We want to uncover the…
‘the things we don’t know,
the things know that just aint so that just gotta go.
What we do know know is confirmation bias exists so we want to use this as an opportunity not to solve but to surprise.
As we go through our share day we will be undertaking an exercise similar to a Johari Window.
The Johari Window will be focusing on the Big Question we identified at the beginning of the week. We want to find all our own blind spots and unknowns and in doing so test our assumptions and close our open queries…well, as many as we can.
At the end of the day we aim to have the following:
_ A debrief of all of our parallel conversations
_ Identifying common themes in our HMWs
_ A completed Johari Window
And that’s it. Really.
It’s on the share day that the excitment starts to build for solutions, however, this is where we have to practice some restraint. When we see all our ‘How Might We…‘ floating around our whiteboard it’s like candy to our solutionist brains. However, let’s just let it sit for the weekend and come back rested and refreshed on Monday.
