Mapillary imagery, my own. I usually do the OSM data input within a few days of capture, often before I upload to the server. My OSM diary has an article on my workflow. Cheers

Yep the church sign is on the imagery. It reads; "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - Visitors Welcome". In that respect I appear to have the church type wrong. It seems too that the church building is "out by one" on OSM such that it points to a one within the cadet polygon. Will fix the name and position unless you suggest otherwise.

Woops. this changeset not from live Mapillary data. Shoud be titled "(Mostly) Data from discarded Mapillary private imagery, mostly street addresses."

Yeah thanks for that. Bleary eyes. 108 was actually 10B. Found 10A as well. Nice to know I am being cross checked. Cheers

Woops was actually private Mapillary images, for house numbers

Yeah woke me up too. It's one of those blue/white actual property/address signs https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1605837640341331 and https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=2310169352671621 I am guessing the Red Lion pub is at the original railway station address. sixmaps/DCSBase has the same lot/parcel number on it just west of the train line. Similar looking sign at the cemetery a bit further north. Bugger though I got the number wrong so just fixed that

The QFES/QFRS fire station and SES are in the same building. Both services are often co-sited and/or very close in smaller communities

Judging by the Facebook photo they are fully shared, so there is no actual building division. It may be best to change to a single building way and add/change to a node each for the fire station and SES. There are actually 3 emergency services logos on the sign. SES, QFRS and probably QFES.

The Mapillary images are quite old and not very clear!

Hi os-emmer. This has sent me on quite an interesting search. The shed has a sign "Ilfracombe Joint Emergency Services" that includes the SES emblem. See the co-sited rural fire brigade Facebook photo set at https://www.facebook.com/ilfracomberuralfirebrigade/photos 45 approx frames down. The same shed has been upgraded from my 2021 Mapillary imagery where the sign is not readable.

I found a web note too that QLD legislation stops publishing station contact details, so online lists that might include an address have seemed to have been removed from the web.

Hi. is it really sealed this far out of LR? I just changed some more of Sherman Rd closer to LR based on Bing Aerial and wonder if it now meets this paved section?

Hi. regarding the substation at Duaringa osm.org/way/610807805 I notice the object spelling omits a "U" but did not consider changing it as there is an associated wikidata entry. I'll try to check any signage when I leave town tomorrow, unless you change beforehand. Cheers.

Just some info

Have recently done a Mapillary photo/drive survey that included some of your changes in this area. The GPS navigator with OSM data got quite confused over some roads that didnt exist or were not public. It appears that older Bing imagery was used and private roads without specifying access or surface. I have removed/surfaced/downgraded/removed a few ways as a result.

My Mapillary imagery will be up in maybe a week if you want to cross-check anything.

Cheers

Understood, yes it is okay by me if you change any objects emergency=ses_station last edited by me to emergency=disaster_response. If you wish to add any of the (missing) default state operator and wikidata tags as well, please do.

Hello, I have seen some of your posts re the intended mechanical/mass change over this.

Yes they will all be the relevant state operator (NSW/Qld). If I was unable to read a name on a sign reliably (Mapillary photo or in person) then I left it blank.

I cant vouch for whether they all meet the emergency=disaster_response criteria, but a very high proportion will. Most being a meeting point and storage depot for vehicles/equipment. My input has basically relied on recognising a "well known" sign branding scheme rather than reading the location's function. I suspect though that given the positive outcome of this change a few mistakes will be acceptable. Indeed it may be worthwhile checking if there is a data use waiver to allow a cross check and naming update as part of or after the change.

Cheers

Hi Ian, Re query about area/cropping. DCS base actually shows it larger. I have seen many rec reserve unused areas being leased to nearby farmers for crop and stock. Looks weird on overhead but the recres boundaries are still valid. Cheers

Yeah interesting one that I worried about for a while. There is a no left and no right turn into it from Princes Hwy and only a reserve (no driveways) back to the next intersection north. One could only U or 3 pt turn if it was wide enough. Part of my decision was also about the fog (white) line being continuous. Sixmaps/DCS was quite old at that point and the fogline was dotted then.

Had to do a head swivel to check the northbound turn restriction as the left/rear camera only cuts in below 38kph.

Short answer is there will never really be any northbound traffic on that section of Centenary Drive. Dunno if it would be legislated one way or not though. Eurobodalla Shire was also against RMS restricting the turn off from Princes with a guardrail back in 2019 https://www.beagleweekly.com.au/post/2019/06/26/council-says-no-to-proposed-closure-of-access-from-princes-highway-into-centenary-drive-a

The competition also has the rest of the road one way on the other side of the bay too. I wasn't there of course.

Your call?

Judging my the Mapillary imagery I uploaded the ford is replaced by the bridge. The Horse Creek crossing has flood height markers at the bridge so it might be worth adding a flood_prone tag and removing the ford.

You asked for a review. I was doing some Sofala work and noticed. Am surprised that there is a park that looks like a private farm, however pit toilets are created as (amenity) nodes or buildings as a separate object, sometimes within a park. Feel free to msg me for any assists. cheers

Werri or Warri? I have stopped there a few times. Note that an area/way already exists for this camp area.. cheers

Hi there! Re osm.org/node/8574309068/history . Isnt this a diesel only stop? My Mapillary imagery is a bit gluggy but the sign and pumps look diesel and adblue only.

Just some feedback

The minor/unclass rd osm.org/way/765986942 you added in this changeset is actually a dish drain where it meets the Balonne Highway. The rest of the road mainly follows fences. Wasnt sure how to handle the rest of rd so left it orphaned. Cheers.
