85929509 | about 5 years ago | Hi FarmerT Thanks for adding your local knowledge to OpenStreetMap. You are quite correct that neither of these ways is a Public Right of Way. However if something exists on the ground we add it to the map. Access conditions if not indicated by signage are confirmed either by local knowledge or by reference to Definitive Maps where they have been published in an Open Data format. So I'm reinstating the farm track and tagging it as access=private(as indicated by you) because it is clearly visible on the ground, confirmed by aerial imagery. The footpath to the East does have a gpx trace so someone has walked this in the past tracking it with a GPS device but as there is no evidence either on aerial imagery or NCC definitive map I shall leave it deleted. I'll close the Notes on the track and leave them on the footpath(just in case someone wants to reinstate it).
Regards Brian Prangle

81782066 | over 5 years ago | There's another cycle route that used thisas well . Interestingly the construction tag has been there for some months. I've added a sensible placeholder diversion until I can confirm the official diversion. A survey shows no official signage |

81691675 | over 5 years ago | Hi Phil Happy to help you in overcoming any difficulties with multipolygons in Herefordshire as and when you want to map individual fields Regards Brian |
81542888 | over 5 years ago | Hi Dave Always better to refer to the wiki with a full quote: "The basic good practice principle is that you avoid using incorrect tags, or otherwise skewing the data you enter, to make things show up in a specific way on the map rendering." |
81542888 | over 5 years ago | Hi Dave Not an easy station to map. I used ref:crs everywhere a public transport route relation or journey planner or network schematic might want to use it, which is on each line that passes through with a stop

78386517 | over 5 years ago | access=no is correct where indicated because although some of the roads are complete they are currently dead ends with temporary signage denying access. I'm there again on Tues next week will checkon current progress |
78386517 | over 5 years ago | Sure thing I'll take a look shortly access restrictions always confuse the hell out of me |

73499756 | over 5 years ago | Same applies for footpath LG22 at it northern end |
73499756 | over 5 years ago | Hi Russ Footpath SW4 at its southern end passes straight through a building. Footpaths should always be surveyed and not copied from other data. I'm assuming the source is NLS although you have a surface tag so you might also have surveyed this footpath Regards brian |
