Go Map!! now available in the App Store

Publicat per bryceco el 25 Gener 2013 en English.

My new OpenStreetMap editor for iPhone and iPad is now available for download from the App Store: Go Map!!

Or you can read about features and use on its wiki page.

I have lots of improvements and additional features I’d like to add in later versions and it would be great to have additional beta testers. If you find yourself using Go Map!! on a regular basis and want to receive the latest builds and provide feedback please let me know.

Any chance of an Android version?

I just downloaded it. This is by far the best OSM editor for iOS that I have found to date.

Already did a test with it. Nice program for casual mapping.

Looks great. I notice that the alpha channel in your app’s icon on my iPhone 3GS doesn’t show properly.

dcp, not likely. From a previous post Bryce seems to have written this in Cocoa/Objective-C, so very Apple specific.

Can’t wait to try this on my wife’s iPad!

dcp: As Josh notes a port to Android is pretty much impossible.

Gregory: Please send me a screen shot and I’ll take a look

JoshD: I was involved in Sysinternals until just a couple years ago.

For v1 I had a bunch of testers and basically only one of them (thanks Skippern!) turned out to be an active mapper who used the app on a regular basis, so going forward (now that it is freely available) I’m going to add people as testers only after they have a history of using the app regularly for a couple weeks. This is especially necessary since the next version will focus on more sophisticated editing features and they need to get a reasonable workout. Make sense?
