Who maps every day (without fail)?

Last updated on 29 January 2023.Harry Woods posted a diary entry a couple days ago about his attempt at editing every day for a year, and I started wondering what the records are for the most number of consecutive days that people have contributed to the map. I already had some code lying around for parsing the changeset history file so it was pretty easy to mine that data. It turns out there are some super dedicated mappers! Here are all the people who have editing for at least 1000 consecutive days:

I made it to 420 days and left the streak.

Made it over a year and then spent an evening in August 2022 pondering over and contributing to playground detail tagging and forgot to make a changeset. Activity on OSM takes many forms … from changing the map, to commenting/closing notes, editing the Wiki, participating in community and mailing list discussions. So in that sense I’m still in a streak that’s now almost two years long ;-)
