Do you work with GPX-files?
Do you use JOSM or what program?

I upload my files and just use the OSM online map.

You need to cut the track before you upload it.

I don't know how to do that with a gpx file. I can cut the point separating them out now, but I can't seem to get rid of the extra bit.
