Masters Student at King’s College doing an MSc in Disasters, Adaptation and Development. Previously at the University of York reading philosophy and politics.

Got into mapping, hotOSM and the Missing Maps Project about a year ago. Since then I’ve helped organize mapathons, taught new mappers and digitalized field papers from the MSF UK office. I act as the Programmes Unit intern there and am trying to relate my work for the Missing Maps to my masters dissertation.

Currently involved in piloting a project between the Missing Maps and Y Care international. We are sending ICS (International Citizenship Service) volunteers to two locations in Bangladesh where they will be mapping their communities with the help of OSM volunteers travelling from Dhaka. Both UK ICS volunteers and their in-country counterparts will be given the tools to collect data on health and school facilities with field papers and OSMAnd. The hope is that this will carry on past our departure.
