I've started mapping the center of Bordeaux with potlach. It is quite a long work as streets have recently changed du to the tram work.
I don't know why my changes haven't been replicated on mapnik but just on osmarenderer.

There will be a delay before changes appear on Mapnik, as they are only scheduled for rendering periodically - I understood this to be once per week but from my experience it seems to take anything up to 3 weeks before they appear.

The planet is loaded once or twice a week, but there is no global rerendering done - tiles are only queued for rerendering as a result of them being viewed. A summary of how it works can be seen at:
osm.wiki/index.php/Slippy_Map#Mapnik_tile_rendering
There is an additional delay at the moment as all rendering has been stopped for a few days while we transition to a new tile rendering/delivery system - during the period all the existing tiles are being rerendered using the new system but until that is complete you will be seeing the old tiles.

Aha! I was wondering why the Mapnik tiles weren't updating at the moment! Thanks for the info Tom.
Looks like you're making good progress with Bordeaux, Ceyquem. :)
