Looks like the additional tags on the area came from the duplicate merged/deleted notes

I've noticed that you added a lot of nodes tagged as "place=village" in the Nakuru city area, when you actually wanted to tag neighbourhoods or individual buildings(?).

A village is a distinct settlement different from and not inside a city.

Examples: there is no village called "Nakuru Girls" or "Blankets A".

Please do read up on correct tagging, e.g. osm.wiki/Tag:place%3Dneighbourhood and osm.wiki/Tag:place%3Dvillage

Hi Shabani,
please do not use "tourism=viewpoint" to create notes, reminders or private POIs. There are better ways for this, e.g. creating an OSM note or adding a fixme=* tag to a node.

Hi Benedict! Nice to see a new mapper at work. You've already added many POIs in Zeze!

However, please be very careful to select the correct classification and tags when adding data to openstreetmap. If your app (maps.me) does not support the correct classification it is often better not add it.

In this and other changesets it seems like you added random houses in the village as "touristic viewpoint".

There are mainly 2 issues with that:
1) The houses are not a touristic viewpoint as specified by openstreetmap:
osm.wiki/Tag:tourism%3Dviewpoint

2) Do not map private information: osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information

Always keep in mind that all data added to openstreetmap can be seen by anybody.

Heyya, I'm in Tabora right now and it seems that you added some duplicate ways (highway=path) in and near Tabora, parallel to highways that have alreay been mapped since 2015 or longer.

Also Bing aerial is outdated in this area. Maxar is more recent. Many roads in Tabora are paved now, which is on Maxar imagery.

Thanks for contributing to openstreetmap. Especially in East Africa we have many things that need to be added!

However, please be careful to choose the correct type for a POI when your add it to the map, for example you have added some POIs as "tourist attraction" when they are actually something completely different.

The correct type is very important so that map users can find what they are looking for.

I just noticed you tagged some school buildings with "tourism=hostel". Please note that on openstreetmap, a dormitory should NOT be tagged like this.

As per definition, a hostel offers shared rooms for travelers (tourists) which is not the case here. A better tag would probably be "building=dormitory"

Of course you can still use any value like "Hostel" in the name tag, if that's the building make in your local language.

Please be careful to choose the correct type for a POI, for example you have added pharmacies, airport runways and guest houses as "police station".

Also some POIs already existed for many years when they were added by you for a second, the or fourth time so please check before adding
