167689803 | circa 1 mese fa | Hi, Tom. Apologies for the delay in replying, work's been manic. Thanks for explaining, that sounds sensible. I think the problem is, if the paths exist, people may try to use them, whether or not they are in the map. If they're established paths, I would be inclined to keep them in the map but change the attributes, so access is clearly defined. osm.wiki/Tag:highway%3Dfootway Signs 'on the ground' may be better for keeping the public away, but as I say, removing them from the map, may not be the answer. Just trying to help, this is not a criticism. Cheers, Chris |
167689803 | circa 1 mese fa | Hi, Tom. Well done for doing your first edit. Was it Widbrook Wood that you changed? I'm viewing this on my phone and it's hard to tell which paths you deleted. Cheers, Chris |
141433059 | circa 1 anno fa | Hi, Dave. Because I thought this was correct. What should it be? Thanks, Chris |
146816716 | oltre 1 anno fa | Hi, Obi. Thanks for flagging this; I can see a case for Recreation Ground and Stadium. Stadium="A major sports facility with substantial tiered seating." Recreation Ground="An open green space for general recreation, which often includes formal or informal pitches, nets and so on. Often municipally owned, sometimes part of colleges / companies or commercially operated." Is it possible that the area should be split, with the formal seating being the Stadium, and the other ground being Recreation Ground? If you haven't already, have a look at the Wiki, to see if that helps you osm.wiki/Tag:landuse%3Drecreation_ground Thanks, Chris.

137686016 | circa 2 anni fa | Hi, I'm thinking I may have to try revert all my NZ changes, as it's not as obvious to me, from imagery, what the different road types are. Thanks, Chris |
107999324 | circa 2 anni fa | Andy, I completely agree; I have no idea what happened here, good spot! Tagging amended. Many thanks, Chris. |
134016669 | oltre 2 anni fa | My apologies, I'll revert in the morning. Chris |
133584727 | oltre 2 anni fa | Hi, Phil. Thanks for your message. The wiki says: "A [W] rest area is place along a road, usually a motorway or dual carriageway, where a driver can stop to have a rest. Unlike highway=services, rest areas don't have places to buy fuel, but they may have picnic tables, garbage bins and toilets." Is this incorrect? Thanks, Chris |
131966724 | oltre 2 anni fa | Thanks for the heads-up, I'll try to revert the change, tonight. Chris |
131887115 | oltre 2 anni fa | Hi, I thought the tagging was confused, but my intention wasn't to worsen the situation. Do you think the change should be reverted, or something else? I appreciate your feedback. Chris. |
131112349 | oltre 2 anni fa | Hi, Thanks for your message. I looked at the Wiki page, but must have misinterpreted it. I'll revert the change today, when I'm out of meetings. Thanks, again. Chris |
121806686 | circa 3 anni fa | Thank you, Dave; I'm sorry. I wrongly made the judgement that an updated tag would be more useful to the community. Chris :-( |
92229819 | quasi 5 anni fa | Thanks, He's. Sounds like something weird has happened, there. I'll have a look first thing tomorrow morning. If you have first hand knowledge, and get a chance before the morning, please change the edits. Most perculiar. Thanks, Chris |
86313106 | circa 5 anni fa | Hi, Rob. Thanks for your message. In the ID editor, it said the tag was deprecated, and gave me the option to update it. My apologies. Sorry, Chris |
82620205 | oltre 5 anni fa | Hi, Colin. Thanks for pointing this out, i'm not sure how I missed it. To my regret, i'm struggling to see how to revert the change. Chris. |
81695173 | oltre 5 anni fa | Hi, Jez. I was checking around that area, and ID flagged the tag as being deprecated. It suggested this change, so I thought that would be more accurate than a deprecated tag. Please amend if you think something else would be a better fit. Cheers, Chris. |
71191248 | circa 6 anni fa | Hi, Dave. I think your solution is probably best. The group of buildings that I added, are let out as commercial office space. The area you commented on is essentially a large tarmac expanse, which would be best described as a 'drive'. I couldn't see how to do this, so marked it as 'Commercial'. Thanks, Chris. |
57688167 | oltre 7 anni fa | Hi, Thanks for the message. I have deleted the node near to the Pear Tree pub, as this was a duplicate. Hopefully this should replicate an all layers, soon. Cheers, Chris. |
46932440 | oltre 8 anni fa | Hi, Dave. Position is great, but I'm 99% sure the church is now dis-used. I think the uncertainty can be left until the new housing estate replaces it! Cheers, Chris. |
46505236 | oltre 8 anni fa | Hi, trigpoint. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've done some reading, and it seems that a mini-roundabout is frequently described as being a white painted circle, on the road, or a slightlyraised white bump, in the road. Having reexamined this roundabout, for it's construction and size, i'm reluctant to change my original markings. As by its very nature, OSM is open, if you feel strongly about changing this, then i'll understand if you do. Thanks again, it's always good to have a second pair of eyes, checking things. Cheers, Chris. |
