114600720 | over 3 years ago | Hi Ian, Looks like you merged the Amtrak station node with the building outline here. Since the node represents the whole station, rather than just the building, please keep them separate going forward. Partially reverted here: osm.org/changeset/114714240 |
112749850 | over 3 years ago | Hi matteditmsts, Looks like you merged the Amtrak station node with the building outline here. Since the node represents the whole station, rather than just the building, please keep them separate going forward. Partially reverted here: osm.org/changeset/114714143 |
105385447 | over 3 years ago | It looks like this changeset mistakenly merged the node for the Mystic Amtrak station with the station building outline. Since the node represents the whole station, rather than just the building, please keep them separate going forward. Partially reverted here: osm.org/changeset/114713974 |
106265841 | over 3 years ago | Hi Arlo. I noticed you merged the Amtrak station node with the building outline here. The station node (along with the public_transport relation) represents the whole station, which the building is just a part of. In the future, please keep them separate. Partially reverted here: osm.org/changeset/114713714 |
107913548 | over 3 years ago | Hi Michael, It looks like you've mistakenly deleted the station node here. Buildings are not stations—please keep them separate. If you choose to map a train station as a way, map an area covering the entire station including platforms. Changeset partially reverted here: osm.org/changeset/114194156 |
103110137 | over 3 years ago | These roads are variably signed as "CR 600 E" or simply "600 E". I can see the rationale for removing the route relations. I'll pop in on the mailing list. |
113003822 | almost 4 years ago | It may not necessarily be high speed, but it does at least have relatively low intersection density and it's designed for continuous traffic flow. Would you consider the lower speed limit to be a dealbreaker for expressway=yes? |
85524771 | almost 4 years ago | Hi ppjj, This changeset mistakenly promoted various residential and service streets near Downtown Houston to tertiary and secondary, seemingly based on having the same name as a street you demoted elsewhere. I've reverted some streets that I think should remain at a lower classification in changeset here: osm.org/changeset/113003150 Best, Clay |
101062943 | almost 4 years ago | This is not usage=main. It looks as if you chose an arbitrary track to be a "main" track through this yard, regardless of the actual operation of the railroad. No part of this route has been a main line for decades. Partially reverted here: osm.org/changeset/112703642 |
101134960 | almost 4 years ago | Continuing in English. In OpenStreetMap we map the current state of things, not history. Today this segment of track is usage=industrial. If you would like to tag it as usage=main, feel free to record the history of the line on OpenHistoricalMap. If we were to map *any* historical main line as usage=main, regardless of the actual operation of the line, we would end up with a lot of short dead-end main lines cluttering the map. There are quite a lot of historical main lines in the US that are today truncated to local industrial spurs. Thus, we do not automatically tag usage=main on historical main lines in the US. |
99743082 | almost 4 years ago | Continuing in English, because the mapping community here converses in English. CSX traffic, which generally follows the Philadelphia Subdivision through town, uses the Chester Secondary to access Chester. It does not need to detour through the Escape Track. As it is today, the Escape Track rarely carries traffic. The purpose of usage=* and service=* is to record how the track is used currently, regardless of what it was in the past or how it may be in the future. I would encourage you to read through the guidelines for OpenRailwayMap tagging in North America [1] and to join the OpenStreetMap US Slack [2]. We have an active railway mapping community in #rail, and we're always happy to answer questions. |
99743082 | almost 4 years ago | Hallo flierfy, Die kurze Linie »Escape Track« ist nicht usage=main. Es trägt seltenen Verkehr und hat eine Grenzgeschwindigkeit von 10 mph (~15 km/h). Hier zurückgekehrt: osm.org/changeset/112427424 // Hello flierfy, The short Escape Track here is not usage=main. It seldom carries traffic and has a speed limit of 10 mph (~15 km/h). Reverted here: osm.org/changeset/112427424 |
101134960 | almost 4 years ago | (English) Hello flierfy, How come you changed the Bethlehem Branch to usage=main here? This is an industrial branch with a speed limit of 15 mph (~25 km/h). Perhaps it was once a main line, but today it only carries local industrial traffic. Reverted here: osm.org/changeset/112427159 |
106787623 | almost 4 years ago | Hi EZRouting, This changeset comment says "update names" but the only tag that has been changed is ref=*, and the new value is not the standard format for US route signage in Indiana. Was there a reason for changing ref="US 33" to ref="Hwy 33" on these segments? In good faith, I've gone ahead and reverted this changeset here: osm.org/changeset/111875797 -Clay |

99706672 | almost 4 years ago | Hi Tom Hogan, Thanks for contributing your local knowledge. Unfortunately I've reverted this changeset because railway=station is only appropriate for passenger stations. Crew change points, as employee stations, should be tagged railway=service_station. Reverted here: osm.org/changeset/110135380 |
108149661 | almost 4 years ago | Hi E3Z8R and welcome to OSM! Thanks for contributing your local knowledge. Unfortunately I've reverted this changeset because station buildings and station nodes are meant to be kept separate. Let me know if you have any questions. Reverted here: osm.org/changeset/110134827 |
109052561 | about 4 years ago | Tagging of underground station outlines reverted here: osm.org/changeset/109229898 This particular change of yours has been reverted by me twice now. Is there a reason you keep retagging underground station outlines as `building=no`? |
93689318 | about 4 years ago | Did a partial revert here: osm.org/changeset/108898114 Please double-check and let me know if there are still issues. |
