144169053 | almost 2 years ago | I should have put in my changeset comment that I was checking https://osm.mathmos.net/addresses/postcode-offsets/ to fix postcodes. This is well within TF9 3.. and the rest of TF9 2JQ is much further down the road, so it was a reasonable change based on that evidence. People and businesses frequently get postcodes wrong. I have apparently misunderstood the accuracy of the NSUL data. I can't say it's surprising that the OSM search shows this location for that postcode when this was the only object tagged with that postcode. Also, your changeset comment is needlessly passive aggressive. |
123909163 | almost 2 years ago | Sorry for the delay, there were some seemingly incorrect postcodes added here. I have now fixed them: osm.org/changeset/144154120 |
119777268 | almost 2 years ago | The addition of the postcode was not me, but I have now fixed it |
133927677 | almost 2 years ago | I wonder if this got matched with the wrong one?

134018762 | almost 2 years ago | Hello, please see osm.org/note/3988816 about Turkish Delight that you added here |
144097005 | almost 2 years ago | Also fixed some postcodes which crept into this changeset, from NSUL |
141416025 | almost 2 years ago | Hello I was looking at https://osm.mathmos.net/addresses/postcode-offsets/ and found osm.org/node/11199560490 which you added here It isn't matching anything though: https://osm.mathmos.net/postoffice/progress/AB/#8/57.246/-2.720 And the Tomintoul PO there has a slightly different address. Can you take a look? |
143930561 | almost 2 years ago | Maybe they will respond to one of the notes, otherwise I guess it doesn't matter so much for now. |
143930561 | almost 2 years ago | Do you think any of the tomb tags would fit here? Perhaps tomb=vault? |
143750582 | almost 2 years ago | Actually note 3646698 |
143643725 | almost 2 years ago | Sorry, and remove a duplicate name, they were meant to be separate changesets |
142856118 | almost 2 years ago | Hello, your edits are appreciated but please use comments that describe what you are changing and why. This edit had nothing to do with updating brands, as far as I can see. I see that this is far from the first time that you have been asked this. |
143308150 | almost 2 years ago | Postcode does not match the location for
I'm finding these through https://osm.mathmos.net/addresses/postcode-offsets/ and the top ones are all post offices. If you have recent familiarity with PO data, then maybe you would be best to fix things |
143027342 | almost 2 years ago | Another postcode error, maybe more problems as well |
143306179 | almost 2 years ago | The name of this post office and the post office website link do not match, nor does the postcode with this location |
143390165 | almost 2 years ago | Hello, thank you for trying to improve the map by adding your business, however you haven't got it quite right. You can't change existing things like landuse and towns into your shop but should instead add a new object. However, it sounds like your business is mobile so I am not sure of the best way to map it. See also osm.org/note/3965458 Let me know if you can provide more information or need help with how to map your business. I have reverted these changes in osm.org/changeset/143436064 and osm.org/changeset/143436146 |
141929450 | almost 2 years ago | Ok, thank you for that, next time it would be helpful to put something like that in your changeset comment to help other mappers understand what you are doing. I asked because I saw loads of notes like osm.org/note/3446080 in the area. So it seems that the fire hydrants were created through Organic Maps, and possibly as some sort of personal bookmark. It looks like the notes are references for the hydrants, but if the hydrants do not exist then perhaps the user was trying to achieve something else. |
141929450 | almost 2 years ago | Hello, why have you deleted all of the fire hydrants? That is nothing like what your changeset description says you were doing. |
142628814 | almost 2 years ago | Something strange happened here with creating multipolygons for Westbourne Road and some of the steps, I think I have fixed them, but I don't know how it happened in the first place |
135614866 | almost 2 years ago | Hello, I am only just noticing this now, but in this changeset (and possibly others as well) you appear to have deleted some of the narrow gauge railways here. For example, osm.org/way/587233598/history
