Delighted that we are adding to database which will extend the excellent facility of OpenStreetMap Poland’s openaedmap.org and thus raise the profile of this important issue. Since first hearing about that website I have been researching and updating AEDs around Wicklow, the eastern part of the UK and anywhere I can find them. Following your recommendation I have been very impressed with OSMand and now also use the excellent Street Complete app. Your new revelation regarding the use of Quick Action will make a big change when out and about. With reference to the 1861 entry details where it is stated “Nottingham population grew by 17,000 between 1851 & 1861, yet by only 5,000 between 1841 & 1851”, I could make a slightly educated guess that due to the effects of the Potato Famine in Ireland around 1847, where a large portion of the population emigrated all over the globe, a large number would have headed to Britain looking for work, where they may have already had family connections, in places such as Nottingham?
