I’m Daniel and I’m based in Berlin!

Nowadays I mostly map with StreetComplete while on the go.

I used to work for Mapbox between 2015–2019 on the Open Source Routing Machine and on dashcam and satellite / aerial imagery in the context of machine learning; see robosat.

Since then I have always worked at the intersection of tech and the outdoors.

You can usually find me at geo events in Berlin, Germany, and Europe.
