UK postcode data to be freed, and some other OS data?

I wonder what will be released, when, and with what license?
I've put this on the wiki news section as it's pretty big news for OSM in the UK I think.

It was news, two weeks ago, when it was actually announced. It's also unclear if the government know what they're talking about as the data in question is not OS data yet the announcement was part of the OS data announcement.
