Mapping some racetracks

Написано от davetoo на 6 декември 2008 на English.

Using Yahoo imagery and Potlatch to map some motorsports racetracks that I frequent. The first is Thunderhill Raceway Park:

osm.org/?lat=39.54439&lon=-122.32224&zoom=15&layers=B000FTF

The other for today is Reno Fernley Raceway:

osm.org/?lat=39.54068&lon=-119.24182&zoom=16&layers=B000FTF

(These links will show little or nothing until the renderers catch up.)

I'm not sure highway=raceway will render on the main maps as they stand.

It does with Osmarender: highway=raceway renders with black borders, and {highway=track;track=racetrack} renders with red-and-white borders. The string 'race' doesn't show up in the mapnik templates at all, though.

Osmarender also displays anything sooner:

I've mapped some horse racetracks with leisure=track, sport=horse_racing. Making something similar for cars would make sense.
