OpenStreetMap
I have just moved to Easington Lane from south west england, and being a keen cyclist who uses openstreetmap on my Garmin have discovered that most of the surrounding area is unmapped.
Will gradually be mapping the whole of the area, partly by raw traces using the garmin, partly by imported courses put onto the garmin which I will then go out and ride to check they are accurate. And partly through arial photos from bing.
I am new to openstreetmap but will do my best not to make any mistakes :D

Cycling is good. Mapping also. Using Bing makes the mapping easier, but you need to cycle anyway to get the attributs and POI's.

Yeh, unfortunately ive been off the bike since early november since fracturing my back in a race :D Been back on it over the last few days. Will go off on a postbox hunt over the next few weeks. Gets me used to the local area if nothing else.
