GPX Sensible file sizes

Postitas dolphinpix kuupäeval 24. jaanuar 2008 – English.

Okay, discovered files which were good for Geotagging photographs are too long to OSM in terms of fair share of processing time.

Now cutting track logs down to below < 5000 points where possible.

Projects,

Highlands of Scotland - 10 years of GPS track logs, but only plan to upload tracks under 5 years old as well aware of new road layouts in certain areas of the highlands.

Derbyshire/Staffordshire Peak District, uploading extensive data covering white peak.

Lake district, less popular areas, uploading data covering western and northern areas.

Royal Deeside, minor roads.

Man, seems you really slowing track parsing. May be you try to draw after every track import instead of this batch load? It's great you have a lot of tracks but it comes annoying to wait for hour to draw my little street track...

I have been drawing after every batch - just the roads in the highlands of Scotland are quick to draw once you can follow a GPS track. All uploaded now, and the tracks are public, I know of several other folks using my GPS tracks to map parts of Peak District and the highlands.
