After two years of developing I’m happy to announce version 0.7 of phpMyGPX - a web application for managing GPX files and photos. A lot of new features were introduced:

• creating, editing and deleting of waypoints
• new set of different map icons for waypoints
• new map styles: MapQuest, black/white Mapnik
• updated URL of changed tile servers
• show direction of viewing and moving for photos taken by advanced cameras
• show more than one GPX overlay on the map
• speed up map, big GPX files and photo thumbnails for slow network connections
• RSS feed for GPX files
• Spanish translation
• more config options

This time it's mainly a bug fix release. The new features are:

- add general timezone support to database and config file
- display all timestamps converted to local timezone
- automatic geotag photos using trackpoints from GPX files

Having some trouble with the 0.6 release, I decided to focus on bug fixing before adding lots of new features. Thanks again to all of you reporting bugs and suggesting improvements!

This web application based on PHP5, MySQL and OpenLayers helps to manage your GPX files (including trackpoints and waypoints) and geo-tagged photos in a database.

Some features were added:
- improved search options (especially date) for all items
- allow easy sorting of all result tables
- tooltips on links to gpx details
- dropdown to select gpx file on photo imports
- changed gpx table layout depending on user/admin mode
- new map style and hillshading from hikebikemap.de
- added speed charts for tracks
- improved error handling on photo imports

Maybe this attracts some new contributors...

For all of you not knowing this great service, I want to introduce it to you:

It's a map showing a bunch of different errors like intersections without junctions, almost-junctions (with unconnected ways), points of interest without name, non-closed areas and much more. All these error types have a little icon on the map, showing more information when you point your mouse at it. Links to edit these errors with JOSM and Potlatch are embedded for your pleasure.
The area coverd by these checks is currently Europe.

This is a little web based application to manage your collected GPX files and track points in a local data base. You only need PHP and MySQL (and a web server, of course) to run that.
It features keywording and searching your GPX files and displays your tracks on OSM live maps as an overlay.
