126659752 | almost 2 years ago | ok, I understand. I thought that having information was better than having no information at all and that removal was an option. If this is not the case, obviously this is not a good idea to add these point-pools. So I will not do it again. Do you have some reference to the "do not delete" rule? Just to understand how this works. Sorry for the inconvenience. |
126659752 | almost 2 years ago | Hola. Hi. Thanks for your question. In fact I'm contributing with a mobile phone application. Adding a point is feasible, but not adding a shape. In spain, but also in other countries, depending on the region, only a very few pools are already on the map. Sometimes less than 5% percent. I assume that having the location of the pools, the number of pool, density, etc, is already better than nothing. With the tool I'm using that's all I can contribute. If the shape and size of a each pool is of interest, then I think that the best way to proceed would be to remove these points and draw the pools, pool after pool. So if you want to improve a particular region and to draw the shapes, this is very nice contribution, feel free to select all then points, remove them, and create the shapes. I know that this is not the optimal process, but at least it is very easy to remove the points and in the mean time application can at least have the position, number, density of pools, etc. Again, feel free to improve the map, for a region or for spain for instance. With a desktop application that should be quite easy. |

132525458 | over 2 years ago | Hola kapazao :-) >>> it would be better if you do not use nodes and use areas to draw them using PNOA I agree with you but the fact is that I'm contributing with openstreetmap with a mobile phone (mostly using OSM go). I understand that it would be nice to drawi the shape of swimming pools but this is simply not feasible with such a device. I believe that while, not optimal, having the location of swimming pools is still valuable information (this is just a personal belief). In fact, in many regions of spain less than 1% of swimming pools are indicated, leaving something like 99% totally blank. Sometimes a dozen are drawn while many thousands around are simply not indicated. Like missing maps :-) Knowing how many pools are there and where could be use for some automation. I take care of having changesets with only swimming pools so it should be easy to revert a change and then draw the shapes. What is amazing is that some region like the "cumbre del sol" there are thousands of swimming pools. Only very few were indicated on the map. >>> Please, try to add the access tag. Most of the swimming pools are private and it is important to know it. Ok, I will check how to do this. In many cases this information is clear. But for the rest I guess that this information should be better provided by people on the ground. With respect to this particular changeset 132525458, please feel free to revert the changeset and draw the shapes. This should be rather easy on a labtop. Best regards |

104174413 | over 4 years ago | Bonjour,
Merci d'avance |
