144627944 | 2 days ago | Hi Falsernet, I'm just looking at the Airfield Cycleway relation, and saw you'd added cycleway=crossing to way 455388707. Is that quite right? There is no crossing there for cycles: they have to join the carriageway. There is a crossing for pedestrians, which I'll add in a moment. Happy mapping. |
170155619 | 22 days ago | Thanks, I went there today and will update the POI soon. |
170151584 | 22 days ago | I may get there anyway next few days. |
170151584 | 22 days ago | Ah thanks, I didn’t realise you were in Lisbon! (Saw locale=EN(US) or similar in the changeset) If you’re fully confident women attend, could usefully tag female=yes . The vibes online suggest to me that is unlikely in these two cases |
170155619 | 23 days ago | Again if you could kindly let me know how you identified which building this is in, that would be much appreciated. |
170151584 | 23 days ago | Hi, thanks for this prompt edit. May I ask, how did you ascertain which building is no 13? |
168875219 | 27 days ago | Fair points. My reason for including it is that this is a geographical point referenced in a legal notice that was publicly displayed. It's as if the notice had referred to "corner of High Street and Main Street" - except that here the NGR-referenced location is the operative "landmark" for the legal order, rather than a street corner. |
168875219 | 28 days ago | Apologies, the NGR is derived from a legal notice referenced in the notes/cs comment, it's not actually on the ground. However, if that node could be moved to the NGR position given, it would be more accurate than were it is now. this is possible, I just don't know how to do it (and I don't know if it's worth it) |
168875219 | 28 days ago | It is a "National Grid Reference". It is physically marked on the object the node represents, and is a more accurate expression of the location than its lat-lon derived from the map. I can't find full details quickly, but you could have a look at osm.wiki/Converting_to_WGS84#Great_Britain and https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/documents/resources/guide-to-nationalgrid.pdf |

101790933 | 29 days ago | Hi smeòrach, Just wanted to query the denomination=sufi tag on Syed Shah Mustafa mosque in Aberdeen
The difficulty with that tag is it suggests the congregation isn't Sunni, but I think they might chase you out if you were to suggest that :-) From my general knowledge it seems likely they're Barelvi places, so denomination=sunni for sure. Then possibly add sunni=barelvi , which would communicate what I think the "sufi" tag was trying to say. Conceivably sufism=yes might work, if you thought it really important to be explicit? Happy mapping, eteb3 |
143369735 | about 1 month ago | Hi, just checking what the signs on here are as far as you're concerned. My puzzle is that at the Y-junction of paths coming off, then doubling back under, North Street, there are bike prohibition signs pointing in both directions, and at the SE end of 'this short section' where it joins Standings Court, there is a shared cycleway sign. I wondered about it when I was there - do I infer there is a prohibition sign at the NW end of 'this short section' that I missed? In any event, though it's perhaps overly pedantic, I'm minded to change the highway of 'this short section' to cycleway, since it's shared use. Oder? |
159046955 | 2 months ago | Ultimately I feel it's too large and complex a campus to take a single tag, but I guess half a loaf is better than no bread. I'll switch to "limited" as that's the best fit for the site as a whole. |
159046955 | 2 months ago | Hi, you made Stamford School wheelchair=yes here. There are a lot of buildings that aren’t wheelchair accessible: does that matter? |

157793432 | 2 months ago | Hi Robert, Re w181124533, a fragment of bridleway: I see on this cs you changed bicycle=designated to bicycle=yes. Was that deliberate, and if so is that the convention? I have assumed bridleways are designated for cycles, because they have a legal right to use them. Cheers, E |

146714913 | 3 months ago | Hi joost, I get why this change was made, but wonder if cuisine=vegan is after all the right tag. This restaurant markets itself as a vegan restaurant, and is a bit of a destination for vegans, which is why I thought that was appropriate. Thoughts? eteb3 |
