Changeset When Comment

What about making the changes only where you made them and not including half Europe in the changeset?

Separating the changes into different changesets would avoid creating a changeset spreading over half Canada and half Western Europe.

You're welcome.

osm.org/changeset/43551531 in order to find the other one in a simpler way.

I don't know what was the point of chis changeset, so I reverted it. There is no café in this forest, nor is there a self-intersecting road at that place.

Please avoid creating such huge changesets. They appear everywhere withing its rectangle, even in regions where no changes occurred. Better do the changes in America and in Eastern Europe/Asia/Africa (or wherever they happened) in different changesets.

GinaroZ has fixed the hotel now.

I think it would be better to create distinct changesets for different areas instead of creating changesets spreading over half Europe.

Bach, natürlich.

If you had put the changes in England and in Tanzania into separate changesets, the resulting changesets wouldn't be sooo huge.

43385364 almost 9 years ago

It would surely have been better to make these changes in two changesets instead of using one which spreads over half Europe, Africa and Asia.
Besides, are there really two adjacent guest houses named "Blue Star"?

Hausnummer A6? Echt jetzt?

43394458 almost 9 years ago

Splitting the changes in Australia and the one change in Iceland into two changesets would have made those changesets quite small, compared to this one.

Welcome to OSM!
It would be better to split up the changesets by region: one changeset for London (1 object), one changeset for Valencia (2 objects) and one changeset for Bloemfontein (3 objects). This avoids having a changeset which spreads into regions which are completely unaffected by the changes (Germany, Poland, France, etc.).

43349299 almost 9 years ago

It would be better to group the changes by region and not to put everything into one huge changeset. See how the changeset now unnecessarily includes nearly all Africa, Europe and Asia.

At this place, thanks again to whb for fixing the problem. I tried to do the same, but my JOSM failed loading the objects (changeset, building and points), and iD failed as well.
