I had no idea that TangoGPS didn't save the traces on .GPX, and I went to play with it for a while. When I got home I noticed it saved everything on .log, and even though gpsbabel can probably convert it to GPX, I found the following script to be easy and with very good results.
For everyone playing with TangoGPS, the OSM Wiki had the answer:

I've submitted a plugin to support TangoGPS in JOSM recently. After deployment you can load your files without conversion.
