The segment in question seemed to be ambiguous from the placement of the imageries in OSM Street camera photo overlay (Latest imagery available around the area) and hence had reverted the edit as there was no Local knowledge to add the segment.

Just an add on query - OSM WIKI for driveway - osm.wiki/Tag:service=driveway states that "The main ways on the parking lot, connecting multiple service=parking_aisle should be mapped with highway=service, only. "

Would it not not be better to use this as a service road rather than a driveway?

Thanks for pointing out the issue.
The source used to make this edit are the 'cars parked along the Leifhelmstraße in both sides' and 'the medians present in the road'. However this is not a conclusive evidence.
We have caught this case in our Review process (All the edits made by any editor are reviewed) and flagged the case. We have reverted the edit and dropped a note for the same.

Thanks for the quick update. Yes, As you have suggested, the segment under question extends along the boundary of the Military area. At the extreme side of the same segment - Node:274488642, 274488617, the segment seems to be inside the Fence.
Please let us know your suggestions on if we should revert the Access=No as it is inconclusive.

Hi trigpoint,

The editor had used the “Bing Street Side” available in OSM and not the “Street View”. We do not use any Third party source to make our edits.

Thanks for the update. As you have suggested, it is clearly visible in the Mapillary images and the Access should be “NO”. Also in the Mapillary Image it is shown that the Buses can use that road. Should we also change “MotorCycle =NO” for the segment?

The roads - Way: 429297667 & 25943063 were made one Way as the Round-about is One-way and the road succeeding the Node: 1531158132 is also One-way.
Could you please help us in understanding if there is a way to add Access based on directionality and how to go about this, as this would otherwise create safety issues for Other Motor vehicles except buses?

Thank you for spending your valuable time to help us. As the mapillary image is available only for one end of the street and since it shows "DO NOT ENTER" board and not "ONE WAY" the editor had made the turn restriction instead of changing the directionality of the road.

As it can be seen, all nearby segments have access=no, except the tiny segment in question. This creates an island error for that segment and hence the edit was made.

ygudeti@ has added a turn restrictions as it can be seen from the imageries that Bull Valley road has physical medians and hence the vehicles coming out of the service road cannot take a left turn to Bull valley road.

Hi Chris, We use driver activity as a source to identify missing roads. Once a potential missing road has been identified we use OSM resources to confirm if a road exists. We make an edit only if there is proof available.
However in some cases the editors misinterpret the evidence. We ensure that edits are validated by an expert by capturing and checking the change sets made by the editor. If the expert finds a mistake then the editor is asked to make corrections( eg. deleting unwanted segments). An edit is considered a mistake if the sources in OSM do not have any proof to backup the edit. We never assume.
