WebGIS Kosovo Project

WebGIS Kosovo is a project for the development and implementation of a Web-based distribution system for cadastral information. The Project has been developed during the Kosovo Cadastral Support Programme (KCSP II).

WebGIS Kosovo is based on Geomedia WebMap Server Technology, and is installed on the KCA own Web Server at the IT Directorate. The current version (1.0) of WebGIS Thin Client has still to be improved and the continuous integration of cadastral data is closely connected to the cadastral reconstruction process in Kosovo.

The WebGIS Map Server application itself is started through the WebGIS Button in the menu bar, accessible from any page of the Web site. The Button opens an initial map window with a general map of Kosovo (A) and its administrative divisions like Municipalities and Cadastral Zones.

The corresponding Municipality WebMap Project (C) will be started after mouse click into one of the Cadastral Zones with available data (B) and after login as authorized user.

Several functionalities as well as property data are restricted only for Municipal Cadastre Offices and Paying users. Click here for a detailed list of user restrictions.

For using the Export Tool of WebGIS you need to subscribe in order to get the required user privileges (USER Name and Password).

Point 5: MANNER OF DATA USE

Private use:
Data mainly should be used from physical persons for their needs in personal computers. They are not allowed to produce any product from these data.

Use in departments, organizations or companies:
Unlimited use of data in departments, organizations or companies will be allowed. Data transfer will be allowed within official procedures. For development, reproduction and publication of data is necessary special license from KCA. With approval of KCA and with payment of appropriate price these data can be used also for commercial purpose.

The use for investigation purpose:
Data should be used mainly for investigation aim. The parties are obligated to request permit from KCA with the aim of publication of these data for investigation.
