Seems to be a misplaced duplicate. I've removed it.

No, that's a mistake and is now corrected.

A note on the gates here has appeared at osm.org/note/2454756 -- i'm wondering if you're still in the area and can check whether signage on these gates might have changed since you last visited?

We're not allowed to copy details from google or other maps, for copyright reasons. But I can map it according to your description. For information, what I have done is to add a node to Albert Avenue for the gate, and tag it barrier=gate. Then split Albert Avenue at that point. Finally, tag the gate and the part of the road beyond the gate as access=private. After zooming in, you may need to refresh the map a few times to see the changes.

Hi. You don't seem to have made any change here. I presume the gate is somewhere close to Albert Square? Let me know if you'd like me to add it for you.

Hi

A member has commented on this at osm.org/note/2379381#map=19/51.47419/-0.29190

It seems strange that a bus stop should be on a footpath and TFL's bus stops API is showing only the other two stops in Kew Road, so perhaps this is an error? Would you like to follow this up?

Retagged more appropriately.

It's probably something that I used at the time of the edit but forgot to delete the fixme.I've removed it now.

I've moved it to the area instead of the building. That ought to work.

I'm pretty sure that when the node was classified as a cafe the standard map was displaying the Wesleyan Christian Centre name twice, once for the building and once for the node. Though looking back at the history I can't quite see where it would have obtained that name for the "cafe" node.

The fixmes are the easiest way to have some precise outlines visiible on my map for surveying without anything being visible on the public map. They will not stay for more than a few days. Either they will exist and be verifiable when I visit and can be tagged appropriately, or they will not be visible and will be deleted or replaced with something else.

Fish Island probably did not need to be included, but only a small number of buildings were ever in that area and it will be easy to check them at the same time.

I can only see one of them -- to the East of Boundary Street.

Oh, and could you avoid using all-caps for company names.

These are keepright errors.

This particular error was http://keepright.ipax.at/report_map.php?schema=87&error=77810321 : the node tagged as dog_park was redundant because it duplicated the dog_park tag on the area -- and as the area relates to something specific (the perimeter fence) it is probably better to keep it than the redundant node.

You can find more of them diagnosed at keepright errors at http://keepright.ipax.at/report_map.php

GerdP: I revisited the area and this time managed to cross to the island after carefully studying the traffic patterns.

First off, I would say that the area previously marked as highway=pedestrian does *not* meet the definition of a pedestrian zone as defined in osm.wiki/Tag:highway%3Dpedestrian. Visually it looks just like a pavement/sidewalk. So I suggest the correct tag for this is a simple highway=footway as at osm.wiki/Tag:highway%3Dfootway

I have provisionally made those changes, awaiting further comment if appropriate.

GerdP: Thanks for the comment. I'll have another look at it and see if there's another solution.

trigpoint: I agree, it is likely the power is used for general purposes rather than specifically for charging. So power_supply=yes is probably better and I will change them accordingly.

I did consider using pier -- but the description of "long and narrow" and "for berthing of vessels" discouraged me. There is boardwalk but that is intended for bridges. Various usages of platform imply transport. This is just a recreation and observation area. Nothing quite fits.

Aha! I was puzzled myself for a while.

It was meant to say layer=2 to ensure it appears above the water surface rather than under water. Now fixed, thanks for the observation.
