Entered footpath which "connects" Rudolf-Kumbein-Gasse. But does not appear. OpenStreetMap seems to be a buggy: Redraw problems with Firefox 3.5.10! Also menu item problem with Firefox.

Just discovered that it is a zoom/redraw problem: osm.org/?lat=47.82577&lon=16.25721&zoom=15&layers=B000FTF
Zoom level 15 displays the footpath where a closer zoom hides it.

Well don't forget this blog is a worldwide broadcast spotting on OSM relevant news. Even if the community is very helpfull it might be not the best idea to ask here for help.
A better way would be to use the (localized) forums at forums http://forum.openstreetmap.org and the mailinglists at list.openstreetmap.org and list.openstreetmap.de :)

Any particularly reason you're not using the more secure Firefox 3.6.6?

The footway is visible in all zoom levels. Maybe your browser or your internet service provider caches old tiles?

You need to force a refresh. Usually shift plus the refresh button does this on browsers running on Windows; I think it's option + refresh on Mac but don't quote me on that.
I find it odd that OSM does not mark the image tiles as 'different' so people automatically get the new ones instead of the cached ones.

Thanks for your responses and answers!
Shift plus the refresh button or F5 din't work.
Now I sometimes see empty squares or "...more OSM comming soon" + magnifier image on random positions. So it is a caching problem ...
Using another Firefox version is no option because I also tried Chrome. When I open the same map using Chrome (the first time!) I also see empty squares. It seems that my provider is caching images in a "unknown" way ...?
Clearing the browser cache may work but is not a very handy way for displaying/zooming maps ...
Also tried the trick with different urls but the same result:
osm.org/?dummy=1
osm.org/?dummy=2
OSM should use the "no_cache" option to avoid such problems?

D'oh!
Just tried to open the OSM-Wiki: osm.wiki/Main_Page etc. but always get the message that no connection to the server can be made ...
