70927802 | about 6 years ago | Welcome! Thanks for adding this building. It looks great! Keep up the good work.

70901729 | about 6 years ago | Hi, thanks for adding to OSM! I reverted this particular change because the polygon for DTC was changed into a transportation platform instead of a building. The public transportation platform is meant for the bit of pavement right next to (for example) a train track where a passenger might wait to board a train. Thanks for your work, and let me know if you have any questions!

69784624 | about 6 years ago | Literally every message you leave in these conversations is escalatory in nature. And *I* am saying your behavior or confrontational, so it's not "nobody". Your reaction to the community asking you valid questions is that you feel that you're being badgered and you react defensively with long posts that don't answer the question others have asked. |
69784624 | about 6 years ago | Tone it down, SteveA. There's no need to be confrontational. |
70326523 | over 6 years ago | You're doing great! All this detail is good. I think "leisure sports building" might be a gym or indoor tennis facility sort of thing. It's better to use a more general type when you can't find a more specific thing that fits. One more thing to try is to hit the "B" key in the editor to bring up the list of different background layers. In this area there is a pretty recent layer from the Maryland government that might make it easier to map. |
70326523 | over 6 years ago | Ah, gotcha. Can you make it a plain old "building" then? |
70326523 | over 6 years ago | The building you changed to "recreation ground" here looks like it's still a building. Do you mind changing that back?

69784624 | over 6 years ago | SteveA: we've talked about this before, but lengthy make it very difficult to follow your argument or the discussion in general. People will skip over your long prose and find the one or two sentences that look the most controversial and argue those. Please work harder at using fewer words. Another thing to consider is that when you write long responses like this you're asking others to use up their time to read and understand it. We're all volunteers and it's a little unreasonable to expect people to spend the time to read these lengthy replies. Especially when it's in response to DWG volunteers' inquiries. |
70196965 | over 6 years ago | If you take a look at the description of what OpenStreetMap considers wetlands (osm.wiki/Tag:natural%3Dwetland) it is clear that a neighborhood with dozens of houses does not exist in a wetland. I saw that you've pointed out various local laws and landuse descriptions, but OpenStreetMap has its own, seemingly different definition of wetland. |
70094551 | over 6 years ago | My comments are directly related to your edits and are a reflection on how you interact with the community, Adamant1. When you're mapping as part of a community, your behavior and attitude towards others in that community are more important than your mapping. When I say "be an adult", I mean don't bicker, write short and succinct messages, work to solve your disputes by assuming good intentions, and don't attack others. If you can't do those things, you don't belong in this community. |
70094551 | over 6 years ago | Neither of you need to convince me of anything. I don't have time to read the thousands of words written between you two and as excuses to me. Just be adults. If that's difficult, then maybe this project isn't the right fit for you. |
70094551 | over 6 years ago | 😩Come on you two. *Please* don't start this pattern again. |
70151029 | over 6 years ago | Thanks for fixing the service roads. Don't worry, I deleted "Buttcracks United".
|
70149981 | over 6 years ago | You added parking spaces where driveways are, so I converted them back into driveways. Also, footways are designated paths for foot traffic, not grass.

69866926 | over 6 years ago | I get what you're trying to do but this is a way more spammy and annoying message than anything the users you're reverting are using. Please keep it professional, even when you think the people you're reverting aren't. |
69709617 | over 6 years ago | Thank you for being on top of it! This is definitely an odd landmark naming situation... |
