114486058 | over 3 years ago | Hi! Thanks for making these changes. Please try to give a more descriptive changeset comment. See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

114287583 | over 3 years ago | Do you have a wiki page or explanation about how you're doing this wide-scale classification changes? So far I haven't seen anything that is alarming, but it'd be good to document how you made these decisions somewhere for the next time someone reclassifies all the roads in the metro.

113676288 | almost 4 years ago | I've been mapping for 15 years myself, so I can appreciate the effort that you're taking here. I'm sure you also know how difficult it is to look back at the history of deleted OSM objects, so it would be great to re-use existing features so that you don't remove history of existing work on a map feature, especially when it comes to important features like major roads. I know that iD makes it easier to delete and remap, but the little bit of extra effort to improve existing features is really helpful. Anyway, continue enjoying mapping and have a great evening!

113675976 | almost 4 years ago | Also note that you deleted some information like exit/destination sign information here. If you don't mind adding that back, that'd be helpful.
|
113676288 | almost 4 years ago | Please try to improve the existing roads instead of deleting and re-mapping them. This is important because you're removing the history of the existing roads, but you might also be breaking data (like highway relations or bus routes) that rely on those existing roads.

113669280 | almost 4 years ago | Thanks for adding buildings!!

113584647 | almost 4 years ago | You deleted a couple buildings in this changeset. Were those buildings demolished or removed somehow?

113389101 | almost 4 years ago | Reverted in osm.org/changeset/113424219 |
113273166 | almost 4 years ago | I switched it to "Interstate Highway 35W" in osm.org/changeset/113288623. I don't think it needs an alt_name tag. The other names probably belong on route relations or something as they aren't commonly used. |
113295833 | almost 4 years ago | Hi! Last I checked highway 62 still had a 55 mph speed limit. Did that change recently?
|
113300412 | almost 4 years ago | Note that this road already has the "West County Road E2" on it in the "name_1" tag. Is this road not called 5th Street Northwest at all? Also, when setting the name for a road please make sure you expand all contractions, so instead of "W Co Rd E2", write out "West County Road E2".
|
113288868 | almost 4 years ago | There's a "note" tag on here that lists https://www.hennepindowntown.com/construction-updates/ with information about what parts of Hennepin are under construction. It should be open entirely now.
|
113273166 | almost 4 years ago | Hi! This road is in fact a "Blue Star Memorial Highway" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Star_Memorial_Highway), but probably doesn't need to be named that along its entire length. Having said that, it's name is most definitely not Interstate Highway 35 West. The "35W" does not mean "35 West". I'm going to revert this change.

113140208 | almost 4 years ago | Do these buildings not exist anymore?
|
113139734 | almost 4 years ago | Hello! Please don't delete and replace old data with your own new data. You also seem to have deleted useful parking aisles and driveways here. Those are interesting and important data to OSM, so please don't delete them.

112917360 | almost 4 years ago | Gotcha, thanks for sharing. Looks like a neat project. |
112917360 | almost 4 years ago | What is your source for these changes?
|
112596671 | almost 4 years ago | Welcome to OSM! Thanks for making these changes. Two things to consider: be careful when you're dragging the map around so that you don't accidentally drag data around inadvertently. If you notice this happening, you can undo it with Ctrl+Z on your keyboard. Also, consider saving more often so that the area of your changes is smaller. This makes it easier to review. Thanks again!
