169751083 | 1 day ago | Hello, please use the changeset description to describe what you changed and why. For example, "Added building details, from aerial imagery." You can read more examples here: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments Thanks! |
169652512 | 3 days ago | Hello, please use the changeset description to describe what you changed and why. For example, "Added addresses to parking lots around stadium, from survey." You can read more examples here: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments Thanks! |
169428758 | 7 days ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! As general advice, if you're not sure how to do something, you can always ask in one of the many OSM communities https://openstreetmap.community/ , or leave a note using the 💬 button on the right-side of the web map. |
169429284 | 7 days ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! OSM is a map of every thing on the world. Please be careful when editing other objects—osm.org/way/38216383 was an industrial area, not a single camera, and osm.org/way/826812901 was a house. It also helps to leave descriptive changeset comments, describing what you changed and why; for example, "Added ALPR cameras by referencing street-level imagery." More examples here: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments |
169413115 | 8 days ago | Also, the roads still have "access=private" on them, so software will assume that the roads aren't passable, even though the gates are. |
169413115 | 8 days ago | OSM tags are case-sensitive: "access=Yes" is different from "access=yes". "Yes" with a capital Y won't work in most software. |
169414217 | 8 days ago | Be careful when changing raw tags! Removing the "highway" key makes it unusable by any software. |
169142801 | 13 days ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for adding the driveway! Somehow in this change you dragged Lane 15 East to an impossible location. Also, it looks like the address already existed on the building. I've fixed both of those issues in osm.org/changeset/169142801 |
169123304 | 14 days ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! Road classification is a contentious topic, especially for high-importance roads like expressways. osm.wiki/Santa_Clara_County,_California#Expressways says Expressways should be tagged as highway=trunk. I encourage you to ask about it in the OSM forum https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/us/78 or the OSMUS Slack https://slack.openstreetmap.us/ ! |
168025590 | about 1 month ago | Teazzi is already mapped here: osm.org/node/12847527539 Is the one you added a separate space to buy lea leaves? I don't see that on sale on their website. |
167510849 | about 2 months ago | Hello! Where did you get this information? This apartment complex is in California, not Texas, and the address is wrong. Also, street names in OSM should be written without abbreviations: osm.wiki/Abbreviations Finally, please use the changeset description to describe what you changed and why, for example "Added address to apartment complex." You can see more examples here: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments |
167407905 | about 2 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! Please use the "changeset comment" field to describe what you changed and why. For example, "Specified type of building using knowledge of the area." You can read more and see more examples here: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments |
166858255 | 2 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for your contribution! Does this field actually have a formal name of "FMS soccer"? If so, the abbreviation should be expanded and the title capitalized, see osm.wiki/Names#Good_practice . If it's just a soccer field that's maintained by the middle school, you can add the name of the school in the operator= tag on the field. |
166897189 | 2 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thank you for your contribution! Even if a hospital only has one building, the building should still also be tagged as a building. It can also be tagged as a hospital simultaneously, or the campus surrounding the building can be tagged as the hospital. Removing the building tag implies that there isn't a building there, which isn't true. |
166897273 | 2 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thank you for contributing! Please use the changeset description field to describe what you changed and why—for example, "Added airport features by tracing aerial imagery." You can find more examples here: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments Also, try to save your changes in one area before moving on to another, to make it easier to see what changed. Finally, I see that the runway 14/32 with way ID 22697657 was already tagged with "abandoned:aeroway=runway," which means that it's a runway that is no longer in use. Adding back the "aeroway=runway" tag implies it is still in use, so if it is, the "abandoned:aeroway" tag should be removed. If it is still unused, the "aeroway" tag should be removed. |
166755939 | 2 months ago | Thanks for including your source, unfortunately copying from commercial maps like Apple or Google is illegal. |
166577700 | 2 months ago | Welcome to OSM and thanks for your contribution! Addresses in OSM need to exactly match the name of the street, with no abbreviations; see osm.wiki/Key:addr:street and osm.wiki/Abbreviations . Also, it would be helpful for the change description to be more specific about what was added and where the information came from, for example "Added a cafe that I visited." See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments for more examples |
166192931 | 3 months ago | Thank you for your contribution! Please try to remember to save your changes in one area before moving to another, otherwise it makes it hard to review changes. |
165862449 | 3 months ago | Since they're in a golf course, they could be golf cart paths, which iD does have a preset for |
165346303 | 3 months ago | Hello! Thanks for your contribution, but please do try to use the changeset description to describe what you changed and why. You can always check here for examples and advice: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments It's also helpful to keep you changes limited to one area, by saving your changes before moving somewhere else. |
