The "error" was probably iD wanting to confirm that the restaurant was part of the Chick-fil-A brand. It should have given you two options: one to say yes, and add extra "brand" tags, and one to ignore and add a "not:brand" tag indicating that it's not the same brand.

The website seems to indicate that this location is part of the normal Chick-fil-A brand, but you've tagged it as "not:brand:wikidata=Q491516", to indicate that it is not. Which is correct?

Thanks for your contribution to OpenStreetMap. In OSM the convention is to only map one line per road, only splitting when there's a physical separation between two sections. You can read this article on how to model intersections: https://labs.mapbox.com/mapping/mapping-for-navigation/modeling-intersections-for-map-navigation/

I've reverted your change in changeset 127004091. Please don't blindly delete data just to fix validator issues.

This change makes the lane tagging inconsistent. You changed "lanes" to "1" but "hov:lanes" still refers to 3 lanes. Please consider all "*:lanes" tags when editing lanes.

This changeset deleted a building part, a dog park, and a mural. Why? Please restore them if it was a mistake.

You've made the lane count inconsistent. You changed "turn:lanes" to have four lanes, but "bicycle:lanes", "change:lanes", and "vehicle:lanes" still have five lanes.

Please use a more descriptive changeset message; what errors did you fix? See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments . Also, please keep your changes limited to one local area at a time, to keep the overall size of each changeset a manageable size.

Hello, and thanks for your contribution to OpenStreetMap! Some feedback: First, the changeset comment should describe what you changed or added, not just why—see osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments for more info. Second, it's considered good practice to keep the covered area of your changeset small, and you can do that by saving your changes in one location before moving on to another. Finally, tennis courts should be tagged with "leisure=pitch"+"sport=tennis", not as a building or road. See the tag documentation here: osm.wiki/Tag:leisure=pitch

Thanks for adding a changeset description. However I still don't think "place=*" is an appropriate tag for these features. The tag is reserved for human settlements, like towns and cities; as well as large geographic features, like islands. In the context of settlements, the tag is meant to be used on a point, as a label, rather than a boundary. See osm.wiki/Key:place . I'd encourage you to reach out to one of the many OSM communities—mailing list, wiki, forum, IRC, Slack, Discord…—to get an agreement on how to tag these. Here's a full list: osm.wiki/Contact_channels

Please use a more descriptive changeset comment, including what you changed - see osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments . boundary=administrative+admin_level=6 is inappropriate for a fire district, since that tag is for counties, which already tile California - see osm.wiki/United_States_admin_level .
