aka 'Heaton detail'... not Darlington station

That's a good photo, thanks for improving on my fairly crude ride-by survey. The path continues to the bridge at least, where the buffer stops are. It's not clear if it goes any further than that though. The path to the right starts from road level I think

This was only from aerial imagery, so it is likely well advanced on the ground. I'm also due a cycle ride up that way sometime to explore those waggonways.

Well spotted, now fixed. Thanks!

I just used the preset for station building, which includes railway=station by default... but that doesn't really match the usage notes (use on a single node, or use on whole station area (which would usually be bigger than the station building)).

Thanks for removing the duplicate tags. I'll avoid this preset in future.

I agree that leisure=marina is a better tag than waterway=dock for the 'Albert Edward Dock'.

However it was rendering as dry land, and needs another tag to show that the marina has water in it (leisure=marina can apply to wet or dry parts of the marina)

I added natural=water. Hope that is ok?

No problem. I rolled back your changes to the layout, and you're right, the routing/navigation wouldn't work because the roads at the crossroads crossed without joining. I think I've fixed that.

Thanks, that sounds like a better way of mapping it

Hi

You seem to be local, but you've mapped the Billy Mill roundabout again. This roundabout was removed in 2016 (which was why someone had mapped it as a junction) but the aerial imagery may not have been updated.

Are you happy for your changes to be undone?

Thanks. The Sectional Appendix will be useful to fill in a lot of the gaps, although there's no easy way to work out where a given mileage/chainage is. 'Track Locator' apps exist, but there's no open source solution I know of?

Thanks! I also hadn't spotted that it was part of a multipolygon/relation! Not sure why it has been created like that in the first place. It might be a job for the future to tidy that up.
