Revamping M5 motorway in Brisbane, Australia.

@Mateusz Konieczny

Yes.

P.S. That photo is from the wiki, not my creation. So whoever took that screenshot, either has a paint style on, or never mapped it as a highway.

[Brisbane, AU] Missing Maps Volunteer Mapping Party

@GOwin Likely creating buildings and basic use of iD. Since iD can be picked up very fast and since HOT only usually asks for buildings, this is the main thing I want to go over.

I will be there helping all of the day, so nothing should be impossible/too hard!

Glorious JOSM

Are you me? Haha, I too made the switch on the exact same day. It’s very powerful, but I do have a bucket list of improvements I would like to see. I currently still need to set turn restrictions with iD. I’m also not the biggest fan of Java, but I’ll take it.

Plugins sound amazing, not tried any yet but the BuildingTools one mentioned in comments looks great!

Hey David, I wish you luck!

increase representation from the AU/NZ/South Pacific Region

Does this mean you wish to make the maps in our region more complete? Or simply AU/NZ/SR’s effect on HOT?

present and future impact of automation, machine-learning and/or artificial intelligence on OpenStreetMapping

I feel that we need better aerial first, Australia is pretty bad, but NZ is OK. Still sounds pretty good, A one click for buildings is much better than tracing them out. How close are we to having such a tool? Because mapping out all the houses is time consuming, so you certainly have my interest ;).
