I’ve been adding to OpenStreetMap like a crazy man. In the last few months I’ve cleaned up and added to my local area and far beyond using my laptop. When I’m on the go, I use apps like Pushpin to add points of interest and gather GPS traces with OSMTrack. As an iPhone user, these are the best OSM options I’ve found. I want to do more though. What I’d really like to find is an easy, on-the-go way to add addresses on my iPhone. If this exists, please let me know about it.
The android world has Keypad Mapper 3 but there isn’t anything similar (that I’ve found) for iOS. What I’d like to see is something created that can be used while walking down a street that easily lets you record house numbers. It would be ideal if these changes/additions could be immediately added to the OSM database, but I’d even take something like Keypad Mapper 3, that requires you to upload it later.
I’m not an iOS developer. I’m a designer and would love to work with anyone who could make this a reality. If you’re a developer and interested in creating something like this, please contact me. I’m sure we could collaborate on something very useful for the OSM community.

I use “Go Map!!” on my iPhone and my iPad, works great though there have been no new version for some time.

Even though there wasn’t any update for a very long time, I use “OsmPad” which is terribly ugly, but does the job.

I second the suggestion of “Go Map!!”. The app has a strange title and is really looking forward to an update (there are some issues with the Bing layer in iOS 7, but if you deactivate the background you should be fine). Nevertheless, it is still very comfortable to use on an iPhone for on-the-go mapping and I have used it a lot for house number mapping.
I have also used OsmPad, which gets the job done if you just want to quickly capture house numbers and “post-process” them with JOSM prior to uploading them to OSM.
To be honest, I would prefer if some more development would go into “Go Map!!” (which unfortunately has stalled and is not available as open source), which already does a very good job, than on creating a new app.

OsmPad is not very beautiful and kind of outdated, true, but extremely efficient and really focused on house number mapping. Besides that, I use it as a simple note taking tool, too.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I have Go Map!!, but as powerful as it is, I really was hoping for something a little simpler for on the go walking. I’ve tried to find and download OsmPad, but it doesn’t appear to be available anymore (please provide a link if I’m wrong).
