Been there. The positive side is that you learn to save very quickly.

Thaught I was going there after a power cut, but JOSM had kept a backup of my work and offered to restore it for me. So glad that I use that editor.

Dang, I've never had any error in P2 while trying to save and I've been using since it appeared on the edit tab. That's way better than the old version of Potlatch, which I would have errors while saving at least once a month.
Nevertheless, I still try and hit that save button fairly often.

Just today I also had my 1st upload error...
tried and tried and tried, same error
But I saved my work, loaded in a new OSM and tada... I was a lucky guy...
Upload worked.
