Hmm sample-1007.osm seems contain data for a different area (NW of this changeset). The data looks good though, you've done a great job!

Hmm after more thought there are some advantages to the multipolygon approach. Specifically that you can list all of the properties without knowing what are you have to search. But the existing way that these rental groups are mapped is reported as an error. Made a forum post and hopefully someone has some tips on how to map this correctly.

Thanks for reviewing this! I looked at these in person and didn't see any markings for "XXX #A" addresses on the houses, though they do appear to be granny units. The #A just seems to be the way that the SR city surveyor marked these things. I don't know the OSM way of marking them so I removed the addresses. If you know how they're supposed to be mapped I'm happy to do so.

I should have published these changes in a separate changeset with explanation but I was lazy.

Thanks, good catch. Looks like I fat fingered that edit and pasted some junk info.

Will do! Thanks for all your hard work!

To be honest I'm a little OSM'd out. This import was quite a lot of work, and it didn't help that the tools I was using weren't amazing (literally just used osm-filter and sed). I'll try to fix the duplicate addresses pretty soon, but I probably won't help much with merging and whatnot in the near future. That's not to say I'm done though. Like if you decide to delay/not merge buildings and address nodes, I may try to do that in a month or two.

Definitely my bad on the import guidelines. I looked for some guidelines on data from external sources, but I guess I didn't use the right keyword "import". And yeah, it looks like when I gathered existing addresses to avoid duplications, I only grabbed nodes and not buildings. I'll try to fix this soon. I also have an email from Mike saying "As for as licensing goes, the vast majority of our City GIS data is public information so there is no licensing on them".

Oh my bad, I wasn't aware of the import guidelines. I'll definitely take a look at your import, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to help. I did a lot of stuff by hand for this.
