112723177 | almost 4 years ago | Hi Kurt, I retagged this way as highway=path exactly like you had initially. Most likely I have tagged the wrong path when I was new to OSM. Cheers, Julien

112241869 | almost 4 years ago | Dear vulasala, on what basis did you revert the change from a local mapper? I have double-checked on google street view and highway=service was the correct classification.

65226148 | almost 4 years ago | Hi NateeT, when you added motor_vehicle=yes to highway=path, did you mean it's wide enough for a 4WD/pickup truck? if yes, why not using highway=track ? |
88017134 | almost 4 years ago | Hi there. Are these trails you added exclusively for hikers or are they used by locals on motorcycles too ? Please kindly refer to the new off-road community guidelines and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Julien https://github.com/cmoffroad/osm-guidelines

111532541 | almost 4 years ago | just curious, wouldn't "Wat ------" be normally the official English translation? First time I see "Temple" as part of the name tag.

111520517 | almost 4 years ago | Thank you for your contributions. It came to my attention that this specific HOT campaign is reserved for NCMP members only and may need to be archived. Please kindly put on hold any further edits until hear from the campaign admin. Thank you for your understanding. Julien

111372898 | almost 4 years ago | Andrew, you missed the point. I didn't say you could turn every single service road into unclassified, but only the main "through road". A dead-end or unpaved road does not qualify. The wiki definitions are clear. I know well this area. Why do you need to change service roads so badly? Is this because they don't render properly into your garmin or mobile application ?
|
110946678 | almost 4 years ago | Hi vulasala. Main links between settlements should be marked as unclassified. Residential roads are only meant to be found within residential areas. Please kindly change this classification and refer to the official guidelines below. If you or your manager has any concerns please contact the community in the forum as described below in the wiki. Thank you. osm.wiki/WikiProject_Thailand

110840655 | almost 4 years ago | Hi Kurt. Just curious, where do you get the data for the streams? I often want to add more but I find it very difficult to guess them from satellite imagery. Cheers, Julien

55939360 | almost 4 years ago | Hello. trust you are well. I wanted to know the source for osm.org/way/557403758 ? I would appreciate if you could add a source:geometry=survey if this was done via a ground survey. Best, Julien |
83015842 | almost 4 years ago | Hello Dave, I hope you are well. FYI, I have removed junction=yes on nodes that do not share other properties as described in the documentation

110589186 | almost 4 years ago | It didn't matter here but new mappers tend to copy what they see. And having "Bing" in the changeset comment or source tag will make them feel it might be the default/recommended imagery.
|
110589186 | almost 4 years ago | Hi Johnny. hope all is well. I know you really like Bing ;) and it's not an issue here, but it is in many rural areas and others mappers may still think Bing is the default choice. I requested recently the Thai wiki to be updated with "A recommended alternative with more recent imagery is Maxar and ESRI." See osm.wiki/WikiProject_Thailand#Aerial_imagery
