Surprised at low Pakistan mapping activity

I'm a bit surprised how little mapping activity I see for Pakistan currently. Apparently last weeks "Project of the week" has largely failed at getting people interested in mapping the flood affected/threatened areas. For most of Pakistan there is only low res imagery currently, but even for that nine parts of the country that have hires Yahoo! imagery coverage the mapping activity has been pretty low.
If you somehow managed to overlook the news about the Pakistan flood disaster until now and want to help, please have a look at osm.wiki/wiki/2010_07_Pakistan_Floods

For my part, the low-quality imagery made it less straightforward to jump in. Having just spotted that there's some fairly high-res stuff, I'm having a crack at it now.

I suspect the main reason for the "success" in Haiti was that we were gifted tons of information - high-res aerials, public domain street-level maps, etc. The fact that the area was flooded makes that a problem, since lots of features aren't visible.

Sure, for Haiti we had more material to work with, but for Pakistan we have at least enough sources to do a lot more than what is done now. I think we need to get the map improved especially for the areas that are not (yet) flooded, because that are the areas where people fleeing the flooded areas need to find shelter.

To me it's a strange feeling to map where people are dying (might dying if I do something wrong).
On the other hand IMHO we lack of somebody that coordinate all activities :(
