Rivers and canals should always be mapped as ways (in the direction of flow); if you want to have an area, then you can add an area with waterway=riverbed around the river itself. The width where it makes sense to add an area depends a bit where the river is: In a densely populated city where people are likely to use high zoom levels it might be reasonable to use an area even on rivers that are 5 meters wide while in a remote wilderness it might be okay to have a 50 m wide river just as a way.

Looks like a Mapnik bug to me; T@H renders the area ok. I can't see any problems with the data.

The satellite images are often a bit off the mark as well, so you can't be sure if the map data or the images are in the wrong position. What I usually do is trying to find a few GPS tracks that match roads in the image and use that to move the images into the right position.

Hi, soweit ich sehen kann, hat User Haribo in dem Gebiet einige Straßen gelöscht, andererseits aber auch Straßen editiert. Vielleicht fragst Du ihn erstmal was da Sache ist; im Zweifelsfall kann man Änderungen auch rückgängig machen.

Hi, I don't see your problem: according to osm.wiki/Key:name the old_name tag should be used for names the tagged object was "Historically or previously known As". I use this tag e.g. for the old roman name of places and would be pretty pissed if someone deleted that simply because he doesn't like it. I would call such actions vandalism.

In der Datenbank ist Deine Änderung jedenfalls drin, und Osmarender hat sie auch gerendert. Wieso mapnik die noch nicht gerendert hat, weiss ich auch nicht, aber das kann manchmal schon ein paar Tage dauern (wenn es auch meistens innerhalb von wenigen Minuten passiert).

Der Text bezieht sich ja nicht auf den Ort, sondern ist als Name des Verwaltungsbezirks in der Datanbank; übrigens idt da auch nicht ein Punkt in der DB an der Stelle, wo der Text steht, sondern der Renderer platziert den Text in die Mitte des Bereichs, dessen Grenzen in der Db stehen. Ob der Verwaltungsbezirk wirklich so heisst, weiss ich nicht; da müsste man wohl in die Verwaltungsordnung von NRW schauen oder so.
