No harm done, I hope. Did anyone mention yet that the "about us" link at the bottom of your page is broken? Should probably go to the same page as the "about" link on top.
Now, can we (the OSM community) learn something from this? Maybe we need a text like "Help, my business/street/village/whatever is missing on the map! What can I do?" in some prominent location on the main page?

Well, the entry did not yet exist when I wrote my comment. Seeing a multitude of blog entries from new users with some vaguely map related text and including one or several links to commercial websites got on my nerves, apparently.
So, I apologise for calling "spam" what might be an innocent blog entry.

Don't worry about the map getting to cluttered; the renderers do render only a few kinds of POIs by default. Several kinds of shops, e.g. florists, are not rendered on the default map, but can be searched for anyway.

I checked one of the post boxes that you added and it is displayed on the map, if you zoom in as far as possible. Apparently post boxes are only rendered at zoom level 17 and 18.

By removing redundant nodes (nodes in the middle of an apparently straight line) I'm now down to 964 nodes. I have seen other lakes of comparable number of shoreline nodes that are rendered ok, so maybe that will work.

according to the map features pages, coastline should not be used for lakes; however, it is quite frequently done for large lakes. I have now reduced the complexity of the shore line a bit (down to 1022 nodes from 1176) by removing the triangular artefacts that the PGS importer likes to create. Lets see if that helps.

Ich würde hier man_made=tower und tower:type=observation verwenden. Die anderen netten Eigenschaften des Turms überliesse ich dem geneigten Wanderer als Überraschung, wenn er den Turm erwandert ..
