Changeset When Comment

OK. I made the change after biking along it back when. I saw other cars using it, and I did not see any signage indicating it was restricted, as I would have turned back. But if there is, thanks for the correction.

I think I got it all now.

I also notice that the relation you link to has gaps, and as noted, it is not the MMT. it had been called the MMT but was changed to The New England Trail. Much is no longer the same anyway as the NET has been re-routed a number of times, especially from Holland Glen to Shutesbury and recently near Crag Mtn.

Yes, I do not have a good understanding of how relations work. The relation you refer to though is for the NET, which is a different trail name (like the Midstate continues into the Wapack). I was a little unsure how to deal with a trail that is on a road.

This is great. Thanks! In the past, for a trail like South Taconic, I would create a route in a different color.

I'm not advanced at this, so I'm not sure what the hiking relation means. None of the segments seemed to have names, and they did not render in Gaia. In some cases, the segments would have part of the trail and sections that were not part of the trail.

I don't know what you mean by permission to copy. I linked to a government document (map).

I do not know how to see the before and after of what I did and also the document I posted. But I know when I approached Catamount summit, a sign said that I was leaving Bear Brook and "do not enter". The paper map looked like that too, but OSM did not. I tried to re-create as best I could from what I saw at https://www.nhstateparks.org/getmedia/bc482f90-9d2f-483b-9e4d-496997582130/Final-BB-Trail-Map.pdf. I do not know about aerial imagery. In Massachusetts, we have a good GIS overlay that makes it a lot easier to identify boundaries. The current map looks a lot more like like what I thought I drew and it looks like the BB map I attach. I know I am generally not that great with the OSM tools and am learining the best I can. I'm just a guy who loves hiking and wants to help other hikers.

I do not see any error messages and do not know/understand what the problem is. I added an area that is what Red Wing Bay is.

I think I did it. I find it very confusing to have these items just labeled "line" with not much more, where it seems like the purpose is to outline an area. But in that case, why not use the Area function?

I did not affirmatively add MassGis -- the system must have done that. My memory is that I had to break a relation that was pulling the southern tip down to May St. BTW: here's the Rosemary Lake map: https://www.needhamma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/2839/Rosemary-Lake-Trail-Map?bidId=. It's a lot more accurate now compared to before. The outline could be brought around the lake to the dam, but I did not make that change -- the property is really more like a pool area and a woods area.

Google note was FYI. I reported it there too.

I'm not that experienced. I just meant to indicate there are boulders (2 of them) just north of the stream blocking the road, which may not be wide enough for a car at that point anyway. Google Maps thinks you can drive through. I did not mean to change that highway/track part.
