Hi jonathan999,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. Local knowledge of area can help alot in updating this place on the map. Understand that mapping non existent features for just pokemons is going to benifit only you, while you can contribute by local mapping of real features that are not there on the map which can benefit everybody using OSM. May I suggest going through http://learnosm.org/en/ to get kickstarted on OSM.

Let me know if you need any help.

Thanks,

Manohar

Hi Coolkev5679,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your contributions are greatly appreciated. If it is an underground stream, can you add "tunnel=culvert" tag to represent it better?

Thanks,

Manohar

Hi TD ChRiS,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. I do understand that having parks and waterbodies here in this area would enhance pokemon go experience. But OpenStreetMap is a project that aims to be a constant community driven real world representation. Fictional features do not belong on the map if they do not exist on the ground. I would really love to help you through understanding and improving your neighborhood on the map. Individual contributions with local knowledge are invaluable in making the map up-to-date and enhance end user experience for anyone who use OpenStreetMap derived applications.

May I suggest starting off with http://learnosm.org/en/ to get a quick intro into mapping on OSM.

Thanks. Happy mapping.

Best,

Manohar

Hi opengislab,

See: https://osmlab.github.io/changeset-map/#48290750

This doodling does not belong on OpenStreetMap. Curious to know how this happened?

Hi HayesM004,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. May I suggest mapping only existing real objects on the group into the map. As a volunteer contributor and a local mapper you can contribute much more to OSM project than mapping non existing parks or dragon paths for pokemons.

Thank you. Feel free to message me if I could be of help. http://learnosm.org/en/ is a good start to start your journey on OSM.
Happy Mapping!

Hi Nikos Andreas Gls,

First, welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing the map is greatly appreciated. As you may know from the comments on changesets you received, there were issues from your edits and they have been now cleaned up.

May I suggest looking through the comments left by the community members and reply. osm.org/user/Nikos%20Andreas%20Gls/history#map=5/47.625/9.790

It would be great to see you map further and share your local knowledge on your neighborhood. May I suggest going through http://learnosm.org/en/ before you resume mapping.

Thanks,

Manohar

Hi areytor,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But is this an indoor swimming pool? seems like a building in imagery. If it is an indoor swimming pool, please add indoor tag. osm.wiki/Tag:leisure%3Dswimming_pool

Thanks,

Hi jrmiller,

Building tag from this church as well. If the area is church grounds, amenity=place_of_worship is sufficient.

Thank you,

Manohar

Hi jrmiller,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But this does not like a building, can you remove the building tag from the polygon and maybe improve on the shape.

Thank you.

Hi Redpon,

Welcome to OpenStreeMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But this does not seem like a single building osm.org/way/489964529. But if this is church grounds, can you please remove the building tag from this polygon. amenity=place_of_worship is sufficient.

Thank you,

Hi Zahid Bhatti,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. May I suggest using amenity=bank +building=yes tags on banks such as this osm.org/way/490004746/history. You have added really good information but amenity information can only be in amenity tag.

Feel free to reply.

Thank you,

Hi rit秀,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But from satellite imagery, this area osm.org/way/490039512/history seems like a parking lot. If this is actually a supermarket on the ground, please ignore my comment. But if it is parking lot, can you change the feature to amenity=parking.

Feel free to reply.

Thanks,

Hi danielponks,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But I have found few issues with some of your mapped objects. Example: osm.org/way/61015388/history seems like a building. can you correct these?

Thank you,

Manohar

Hi Ying Zhong,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. I am afraid the building you drew is too big. It might be a neighborhood or a locality. osm.wiki/Neighbourhood, landuse=residential can be a more general way to describe the area osm.wiki/Tag:landuse%3Dresidential.

Let me know what you think.

Happy Mapping!!!

Hi osm update,

This seems like automated edit to me with a custom script. Has this been discussed and documented? What is the source of this data?
I have observed some issues with the edits.
1. osm.org/node/338794056/history is a node of a way on a remote area. I don't see any fuel station.

2. osm.org/node/192158907/history is also just a part of a residential highway

3. This node is a part of a building osm.org/node/353408657/history

4. This node is part of a footway osm.org/node/240357420/history

5. This is definitely does not seem like a fuel station osm.org/node/327727782/history

Feel free to reply.

Hi Richard Thomas Stockdale,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your contributions to the map are greatly appreciated. Great that you added the park name here. But a node cannot be a park, as it is supposed to be an area. The park is mapped with a polygon already and has a grass tag. You can give the name to that polygon itself and change it to a park. The name will render appropriately right in the middle of the park on the map.

Thanks. Happy Mapping!!!

Hi Dutkiewicz,

I have observed that you mapping this area as park.

Hi MDRRMO Talisay_Batangas,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your contributions to the map are greatly appreciated. I observed that you mapped this park that is overlapping with other features nearby. osm.org/way/489724469

It would be great if you can align features and correct the overlaps.

Happy Mapping!!!!

Hi Josh Dennis,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. Local mappers are crucial in updating OSM based on ground knowledge. But I have observed in further changeset you have changed a variety of features to parks. It is important that we map relative to ground truth. Referring from satellite imagery, I have changed back some of your edits. Please use http://learnosm.org/en/ to sharpen your mapping skills.

All the best and happy mapping!

Hi atomicpeanut,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. I have observed you have changed these baseball grounds to leisure=park. Seems leisure=pitch is more apt from imagery. The footway here are not connected to each other as well. Would be great if you can correct these.

Thank you and Happy mapping.

Best,

Manohar
