Hi Catalina Dascalu

The residential_link roads you have added here are not rendering on the map because OSM does not support link roads for highway below tertiary ways.

Can you change these back, thank you. Please refer to osm.wiki/Key:highway for more information on the tagging schema.

Manohar

Hi Anaiah,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. I observed that you have mapped a bridge on a road that is not yet traced. May I request you to trace it as well. The bridge you have mapped already needs to be interconnected to the rest of the highways to be part of the highway network.

Hi Surendran Subramaniam,

Welcome to OpenStreetmap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. I just observed that you mapped a long trunk_link road in this changeset. _link roads usually refer to small connecting roads from one highway to another highway. Exits, ramps make up these. Please go through osm.wiki/India:Tags/Highway to understand the tagging schema.

Hi achim_k,

Observed that you changed Arbois from village to city. Wanted to flag that from wikipedia it seems like it is more of a town than a city. Please feel free to reply.

Wanted to flag that you have also deleted wikidata, wikipedia and population tags to this feature while adding the pl translation.

Hi keivan,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your contributions to the map are greatly appreciated. I have observed that in this changeset you have changed `place=locality` features to `place=city` features for the Shariati Square and Taleqani square. Can you change them back to the locality. The city of Mashhad is already mapped.

Thank you,

Manohar

Hi Øukasz,

Sorry for the delayed reply. I did not check my mail for a few days. So for some reason, the deleted city was still there on Mapbox maps. I went through histories of surrounding features in that area and checked them out on OSMCha. I found the changeset by chance by seeing the history of the bus station polygon(if I remember correctly) and thought I should undelete it.

Here is what I did,

1. Undeleted this city osm.org/node/348117530

2. I thought this was not a city by looking at wikipedia and changed it to a town osm.org/node/2487775215

Please do correct if you see a mistake.

Thanks,

Manohar

Thanks for replying. Please take a look at http://learnosm.org/en/coordination/remote-tracing/#highways-howto and osm.wiki/Key:highway. On OSM the tagging schema allows us describe any kind of road under highway tag with an appriopriate value. For a freeway, we can use `highway=trunk` for example.

The information regarding the bus stop from Utilities transit, is it open source? I am afraid, we cannot copy over information if it is not open sourced. Refer to osm.wiki/Open_Database_License for more information.

Thank you.

Hi Scodbey,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But the bus stops you have added seem to be so many here along a single highway. Are these correct?

Thanks,

Manohar

Hi 116HLSC,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But I have observed that you have given description like names for the features you have mapped. May I suggest going through http://learnosm.org/en/ for quick dive into OpenStreetMap tagging schema.

For example, instead of giving the name as Gym, give `leisure=fitness_centre`. The renderer for the map appropriately understand this unique and renders as such with an icon. Name tag is for the official names of the establishments such as `Gold's Gym`.

Thank you. Happy Mapping!

Hi andypp88,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. I have observed that you added this park over a couple of buildings. The imagery could be outdated. Can you confirm if this is indeed a park.

Happy Mapping!

Hi Mds_travel,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But I have observed you have given the Pashto name that translates to `Rudawani Language`. Can you please confirm if this is the right name.

Hi Stefano Lucchesi,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. But I have observed you gave this pub you mapped the name `Backroom - Sexy Shop`. Name tag field is only for establishment official names and personal descriptions. May I know if this indeed correct?

Thanks,

Manohar

Hi AndyMapping,

A warm welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. OSM is a crowd sourced mapping platform that aims to be the most up to date map of the world. This is only possible by a growing community when new users join and join hands to map their local neighbourhoods.

May I recommend learnosm.org/en for a walk through on OSM and tagging schema. I have observed that you have given this roundabout a name. osm.org/way/171558125/history. the name tag is for official names only and not descriptions. Something like roads named after a person and similar.

Leave me a message if you need any help mapping.

Happing mapping!

Manohar

Hi PokeUpdateGrovetown,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Your interest in contributing to the map is greatly appreciated. The name you added here to the scuba_shop kind of seems weird. Is this actually correct?

Thanks,

Manohar
